Dear All The food was great I did try the mozzarella in carrozza which was very good. I order ravioli Mimosa which won two awards and I eaten tonnarelli with an oxtail. Finally the thin slice of beef with rocket. High recommend.

run from any restaurant where the most common language heard amongst diners is English, this is a tourist trap. food was not awful but definitely average. service nice and restaurant ambiance nice, but saw no italians eating here. we had just arrived to italy and...More

No idea why this is popular. The service was brusque, almost rude. Plates were thrown down on the table without a word. We had 3 courses in 45 mins! Starters were okayish, but the main - Ravioli Mimosa, the house special - tasted like a...More

Not sure why this place is always so busy. It is absolutely not worth it. You cannot get there without reservations. We tried three times, then we finally were able to get in after making reservation. I think it is more touristy than local. Waiters...More

After reading the reviews we expected much better. The pastas were bland and the most pedestrian we had in Italy, which was surprising considering most of us ordered them with truffles, which we love. The pastas were served up by the waiters in a saucepan...More

Recommended by a local as we headed out of our hotel for the evening. After a stroll through the neighborhood and surrounding restaurants/pubs, our family of five arrived to an intimate restaurant with a patio surrounded by greenery. A lovely, relaxed setting. We found the...More

It was so good we returned for a second visit the next evening. Located in lively Trastevere they serve the tastiest and freshest of all starters, from Buffalo Mozzarella to artichoce salad, freshly sliced prociutto and salami. We did not make the main courses since...More

We have been coming to eat at Maurizio's and Massimo's place for many, many years. It's always a great experience and you feel like at home. Antipasti are superb and their pasta is the best you get in Rome. It's simply a pleasure to be...More

Great terrace. Quality food. Carbonara al tartufo must. Super service. What else do you need? Highly recommended

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable

I know they take reservations and there was a group of 8 there when we were there so they can handle groups. We had our hotel make reservations for us.
