One of the best restaurants in Rome where I have been. The ambiance is fantastic and the food is outstanding. The wine list is one of the best ever seen in Italy and the attention is great. The decoration with all the paintings on the wall is so refreshing. This is a must when you are in Rome!! Prices not... More

Although we haven't booked the table hostess who was very nice succeed to find a table for us to have brief dinner. The place is very popular, there is a lot of photo with celebrities in the hall. The food is not outstanding, but good. Service also was quite nice and fast. Good experience in general, but if you are... More

On this trip to Rome, I ate off the beaten path local places for lunch and Michelin rated places for dinner. This was the worst meal I had in Rome. It comes highly recommended and I can't understand why. We even read an article in a magazine that quoted Emily Blunt saying she had the Cacio e Pepe here and... More

If you want to taste real Italy you have to try pasta with white ragu and pasta with chesse from this local. The proseco and warm starter was perfect created the perfect condition to enjoy very good food and a glass of white wine near good colleagues

The staff in this restaurant is very attentive and the food is excellent. The wine "book" is daunting. The lighting is very dark, so it was hard to read the menus and the wine book.

This restaurant is excellent, from the food to the wine list to the service. The wine list is like an encyclopaedia! We struggled to choose from the large selection so one of the waiters took our order then advised which wines would be best suited. We both had starter and mains, all were very tasty. For dessert, we shared the... More

We ate here as a small group (7) on the first night of a trip to Rome. What a superb introduction to Roman food & hospitality! I had the 'Trip to the Roman Countryside' starter - seven portions of different antipasti served in a box (see the picture!) and then the saltimbocca, which was tasty & massive. Complemented by some... More

Giving always attention to meet the changing course of the latest trends, the restaurant has the culinary agility to anchor the current fashion to the heritage of the rules and quality of the food products, maintaining the delicate equilibrium between discretion and popularity. In this way, we assure our guests to be present, without appearing. The original customs officer and the modern host, preserving the historic mission of the place, have been followed by a family known as connoisseurs of taste: the perfection of the proposed cuisine, offered in an ambiance enhanced by the beauty of the great artworks and the meticulous attention for each guest, so to guarantee an exclusive atmosphere combined with the warmth of a comforting familiarity. Our guest, no matter from which movie set arrives, or for how long hasn’t come, is always welcomed with a smile, a shake of hand, a delicious meal accompanied by an excellent wine and with the warmth of the art surrounding this fascinating angle of Rome. We know well that what the body nurtures is not foreign to the soul.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
