Food was very good and can't beat the price. Their table red was very good as well. Located down an alley on the way to the Trevi fountain. Was recommended by one of the local shop owners and was well worth the stop. If you're in Rome, this is a must stop.

Food is very good. Always very busy. Has quite a history, also. The place setting in English explains that one of the Popes did physical labor on this spot as it was a livery stable. Then this location became a brewery and currently s restaurant. Miracles, written on this paper, it is said happened on this spot. Decor and ambiance... More

Saw a review of this place in the Telegraph. Busy place with a good menu selection and an usual offering a German style sausages. Lots of pork and other meats. Tasty and well cooked. Peroni beers on tap. Location is handy near the trevi but not too touristy. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lots of locals and quite a... More

It is rare in central Rome to find a place that is not "polluted" by tourists. L'Antica Birreria Peroni, while it still caters for foreigners, lots of them indeed, is primarily a place for locals to come, have a drink and have a genuine italian meal. we've opted for a large portion of spaghetti carbonara as a starter, followed by... This is like a school dinners restaurant, friendly, noisy, lots of people, lots of choice on the menu. Good food plenty of it, 4 starters 4 mains 3 desserts, litre of house white litre of house red (tasted ok after the first three glasses) one lemonchello €85. We stayed from 7.30 to 10pm great friendly waiters.

Very charming, traditional restaurant near the Trevi fountain. No pizza on the menu but delicious pasta and meat dishes. Great house wine, which is fantastic value for money. Beer is great too but more expensive. The staff were kind and attentive, especially to my sons. Very busy with locals, which is usually a good sign. Will definitely go back.

This is a wonderful place to go. I have been there three times. It is my favorite place to eat in Rome. It is not far from Trevi Fountain. The beer is Italian and all of the food is delicious. The staff is friendly and service is fast. The restaurant is ALWAYS full.

It's not a restaurant it's a factory set to serve as many tourists as possible. We paid 30 for lunch which we used to pay below 20. The service tries not to make any contact with customer. They throw you menu, food and bill like you throw bone to your dog. Firstly we got Italian menu and the waited was... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
