On our second visit to Rome, one of the only restaurants that we chose to go back to was L'Enoteca antica di Via della Croce. The restaurant is located on a quiet (relative to the surrounding neighborhood of the Spanish Steps) street and has both outdoor seating (with excellent people watching) and indoor seating (with tons of charm). On this... More

Location is right on Via della Croce which is just close to our hotel. The area is buzzing with restaurants and is close to Via delle Corso which are lined with shops and is a major street in Rome. I suggest you sit inside as the restaurant exudes old charm. That makes this restaurant different than all the restaurants at... More

Walking around Trastevere we passed this restaurant when we were ready for lunch. We sat outside which was great to do a bit pf people watching too. The service was friendly, quick in the usual tourist restaurant way. The food was perfectly OK but don't expect flavours exploding in your mouth. If we had gone here for dinner we would... More

Good wine and Pasta dishes with attentive service. Also a nice atmosphere and the option to sit at the bar if desired.

You'll notice this place by the lack of someone trying to recruit you inside. It's become one of our favorite places to stop when we're In Centro. The antipasti platters are exceptional.

Stick to the pasta and you'll be ok. Definitely a tourist location. The veal was more like 3 pieces of thinly sliced well done roast beef sandwich meat covered in a brown sauce. Not much flavor. The mixer allay in the caprese salad was very tough and dry. Not on my repeat list.

The best cacio e peppe I had in Rome! Great food and atmosphere! I always go back there! The wine selection is nice as well.

The service was very bad. No one cleaned our table, set us at a table or treat us like the other costumer. We are not going back there!!!!

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio

By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
