I think we were the only American group in there when we went for dinner, and it was packed. I called ahead to get reservations, so they sat us before the other people that were waiting. Four people in our group all ordering different things, and everything was great. Love burrata, steak with sauce was great, veal with lemon was... More

This is our new "go to" restaurant in Rome. The pasta, pizza, focaccia and the puntarelle - when it is in season - is all outstanding. The pizza is made just the way I like it - thin and crispy. They get very busy so unless you plan to get there get there right when they open at lunch or... More

I used to know the real da Francesco several years ago like with very good ingredients and a fresh and tasty cuisine... What a disappointment... Untasted food, pizza with truffles where we had maybe 5 slices of truffle. The pizza was just bad... So it was our last time there. Goodbye da Francesco... We will miss you !

Great pasta and meat, all done simply but very well. Full of lots of locals, which is a good sign. Has a nice basic, unpretentious feel to it. Probably best to book, especially at lunchtime.

We went on advice from an acquaintance and are glad we did. It was super busy & super full (we went on Christmas day for dinner), and seemed like the hipster place to be. Our waitress was super energetic and friendly, while the busser seemed fairly grumpy and like she'd rather be anywhere else. Food was delicious - one of... More

Quite a busy place for both times (after 2030) we stopped for dinner. Pizzas and house wines were quite delicious and the service was excellent each evening. Nice location close to Piazza Navona. Perfect for the after dinner stroll. Would recommend.

Recommended by our hotel and did not disappoint. Veal saltimbocca Alla Romana was very good. Pastas too. Zabaglione was different than what we were expecting -- thick and custard, with granules of sugar-- but very good. Fills up -- get there by 7:30 for dinner or make a reservation.

We tried this restaurant because of the reviews and its location near our apartment. The prices were reasonable. Dinner for 2 with a half bottle of wine, cacio e pepe, artichoke roma, veal limone, and roast potatoes came to 47 euros. We noticed many boxes of takeaway pizza going out the door so that would be of interest to us... More

For over fifty years the restaurant carries the name of the Roman culinary tradition with great respect for the old style and careful research for its variations and innovations . Typical menu of traditional Roman cuisine , spaghetti matriciana , oxtail, roast suckling pig , fettuccine gricia , saltimbocca alla romana , a good pizza.
