Compared to other restaurants in this city it was a disappointment. The food was excellent but the staff though attentive were rather indifferent. The proprietor who appeared as we were leaving was charming. His staff need to learn from their boss what hospitality is about. The bill exceeded all the other meals we have had including two establishments worthy of... More

You know from the beginning when you have to be buzzed into the restaurant that the place is going to be special. And it is, without being overbearing or precious. The food was excellent, as was the wine, and the service was attentive. Overall, a great experience for a last dinner in Bologna with good friends.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant in the heart of bologna. Friendly service, knowledgeable and attentive waiters, and amazing food. The owner is worth mentioning too as he's so humble and passionate about his restaurant it's amazing. He personally assists you in selecting your wine, pours it, and gladly offers to change it if you don't like it. Must visit if your in... More

This restaurant is really overpiced and very arrogant service, the franciacorta was really one of the lowest quality we ever had, the waiters were not able to poure the wine in the glass without dripping, they moved the plate form our friend already and the rest from us was still eating, food is really average and prices are too high... A wonderful special place to eat, calm and relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. Short menu but something for all palettes - and it was all delicious. Would happily go again. Only problem is the delay in their answering the entry button - you could easily think they were closed!

Caminetto d'Oro is a lovely, serene place. The hosts are nice, friendly, and most importantly present and ready to explain and recommend. Everything we were served was delicious, flavorful, and well presented. We had the fresh artichoke salad, the potato ravioli, and three kinds of desserts, one of them a melon sorbet and they were all delightfully tasty! It was... More

On our last trip to Bologna in 2013, Caminetto d’Oro impressed us to such an extent, that we ate here three times. You can imagine how much I was looking forward to returning. This time we had our first experience of something I can’t recall from our last visit - having to ring the doorbell to enter. I mention this... More

A sophisticated spot right of the main street that serves wonderful Bolognese food and wine, in a friendly and traditionally unhurried way. Waiters are super attentive and helpful without being bothersome. Each dish is done to perfection, and desserts are not to be missed. Wine list is superlative. Perfect for business, pleasure, or romance.

We had lunch here. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff who speak English well. Started with one of the best mortadella we ever had together highly tasteful parmeggiano cheese. Then we had tagliatella Bolognese which was delightful. After some christmas cake with sabaillon and lovely mascarpone with grappa Barolo. For wine we had local red tremonti from 2013. We decided to... More
