Local. Welcoming. Lovely friendly female owner/manager/server. Great food. We had dinner and tortellini in brodo plus tagliatella bolognese which were both excellent. Carafe of house red was extremely quaffable. Dessert of semi freddo just as tasty. We had a lovely evening.

Very nice and friendly family restaurant. Prices ok but portions are more than the tourists restaurants in town center. Very tasty. Very Nice tortellini broth, tagliatelle bolognese, prosciutto al forno and good red wine. No wonder is open for 70+ years. Worth the visit.

I had the tagliatelle alla bologne and my wife had the gramigna! This made my birthday so memorable. I went to Bologna to enjoy great food and this place satisfied my pasta dream!!! The staff were very warm. We also enjoyed the torta de riso! Must try definitely! We went back on Monday before our flight, however the place is closed unfortunately. Grazie mille!!!!

This trattoria was in easy walking distance of our hotel to the west of the city on Via Sassi It feels like nothing has changed since it first opened its doors - but in a good way. Met with a friendly smile and given an English menu. Quite a few things were off which again I took to be a sign that this restaurant served fresh food only and nothing blast frozen. We both had classic Bologna dishes to start, tagliatelle ragu and tortelloni in brodo followed by a bologna cutlet which we shared at the suggestion of the lady of the house. All delicious and washed down with perfectly decent carafe wine at 10 euros a litre. The whole meal which ticked off 3 classic dishes at one sitting was a shade over £40 for us both. Outstanding value.

We popped in early and were glad we did as it soon got busy. The food is very good local cooking . The service was friendly and the locals very friendly engaging us in helpful conversation.Service was happy for us to eat our pasta and main courses together. For four people having two courses with drinks the bill was 94 euros. Strongly recommend even for vegetarians

We looked for a nice place to eat dinner and found this one at Trip Advisor. It looked very simple when entering, but what was served was extremely tasty and certainly home made. The Taglietta with walnuts and cheese is highly recommended. Also the scaloppina with cheese was delicious. Prices are ok and owner/waiter are very friendly. This time we went as three friends and we will come again.

For those of you looking for a restaurant west of city centre, look no further! We stumbled upon this place by chance. Too tired to walk from our hotel to the city centre's "famous" restaurants, we decided to give the closest restaurant a try. We were blown away by how tasty the pasta was. We even ordered a second round. We tried the classic ragu and the sausage pasta, both were superb. We returned the next night. Again fantastic pasta. Honestly the highest quality for the lowest price. They also have great wines for less than 10 euro per bottle (every other restaurant charges double). This place has the best pasta we've had during our two week tour through Italy. Don't miss out on this one if you're in the area!

I really recommend going to this restaurant. It's one of the best traditional place in which you can find good plates, good atmosphere, like at home. I suggest booking you table in advance because it's always full! I love it, trust me because I am from Bologna...!

Classic Italian restaurant with well prepared reasonably priced food, but don't expect any English on the menu or spoken! We dropped in for lunch on TA recommendation, and pleased we did, classic stuff.

The location is not particularly prone to luxury, but you will see pictures of different stars of Bolognese culture and tradition hanging on the wall and you will be able to eat very tasty Bolognese food here. In general, the place is much more genuine than the touristic eateries of the city centre, and for a reasonable price given the quantities of food you can get for your order. Their best cook is a very old lady in charge of making pasta, and you can absolutely rely on her. Actually the main strength of this restaurant is the first course, while you might need to study the menu very carefully if you want to spot a good wine. Second courses are also good and the deserts of the Bolognese tradition are simple but worth a try.

I lived in this city for almost 20 years and, trust me, if you want experience real taditional food this is the place. Authentic, traditional and direct. If you are looking for a fancy luxory place this is not the option but for an experience trough tagliatelle, lasagne, tigelle e crescentine you are in the right place. No menu available, follow the suggestions of the waiter and discover how Bolognesi eat at home and the 70s traditional food. Not for light food lovers.
