We set out on a day trip from Milan, took the train into SML and walked the 5K to Portofino. Most hotels/restaurants are closed this time of year, but the walk was well worth it. The waterfront view with few tourists was quite nice. The pasta Portofino (a tomato-pesto sauce) was excellent as was the veal option. The wine options... More

There is no denying that the food at Puny is excellent. In fact the night that we ate there, the Barefoot Contessa was at a table next to us. However, we felt ripped off. Firstly, we ordered 3 bottles of Gavi wine... at 28 Euros on the menu. We didn't realize until the next morning (after the 3 bottles had... More

It's most delicious Italien restaurant in the world! I ordered my parpadele 3 times! All of our great company was delighted!

Puny is famous for its pesto (tomato pesto) sauce. Fabulous! It is always crowded and you need a reservation.

The restaurant offers very good service and great, delicious food. "Papardele portofino" is its specialty. Prices are somewhat high, however. The dishes range from 20-30 euro. Worth a try.

Love it when restaurant owners come by each table and greet their guests! Then of course, there is the view! We shared the melon and prosciutto as a starter followed by sea bream with green sauce and pappardelle with basil and tomato cream sauce oh boy were they good!

this place is all about Portofino. Shouldn't miss it. It might have a long waiting list and one has to make a reservation quite a few days earlier but it is definitely worth the effort.

An institution in town. It can be expensive but you are paying for the atmosphere of eating in Portofino. Fun experience meeting Puny!

I rang and booked this restaurant 6 weeks in advance and rang two days before to confirm. We had booked for 2.30pm. When we arrived we were told it was impossible that we had booked for 2.30pm as they don't take reservations after 2pm. They were so rude and dismissive - we had travelled for an hour just to come... Loved every minute at Puny! We commenced with prosciutto and melon and an anchovy dish, both perfect starters. We then left it to the waiter to select their signature pasta dish - pappardelle with a pesto and pomodoro sugo. Which was sublime. We finished with an outstanding fish dish and a bottle of Rosé. Dining at Puny is a must!
