At a first glance, it’s situated beautifully and perfectly, How bad could it be right? Very bad is the answer. I understand that we are tourists and we shouldn’t expect too much in tourist ridden places but this was a terrible experience. The wait staff...was uninterested in serving us. When we finally did get served the food was incredibly over priced and very underwhelming. I think it was microwaved or pre-made days ago but whatever, It was so poor. They forced a bottle of wine on us which I refused twice and then when I finally said “ya fine” as I was annoyed, I found out that it was their most expensive one. Which in this sort of place wasn’t that expensive but it was the principle. Then they added random “services fees” to our bill (took me asking 4!! times) that made up 20% of the total and then verbally request a tip. Please don’t go. These guys know how to get your money and give nothing in return for it.More

I have never eaten such a disgusting Salade Nicoise in my life, a bit of mashed up tuna fish with anchovies on the top, resting on grated carrots and potates and NO olives. Very bad quality for money. This restaurant has a good site by...the sea, and obviously attracts a lot of people because of its position. particularly on Friday market days Beware the 17/5% service charge in small print added onto the menu price which is already expensive enough for an Italian trattoria. Cash only accepted. To be avoided. Try one of the restaurants on the road towards the station instead. The waitress, however, was very polite and helpful.More

This place is awful. €15 for an "antipasti" which ended up being a few slices of ham and one piece of lettuce. How can you charge that amount for food that was clearly just picked up at the supermarket 5 minutes before. The next joke...was we asked for tap water, in French might I add, and we were given bottle water which ended up being €4.50?! Grand blague! The location might look decent, outside tables with parasols but you're harrassed by flies and guys trying to sell you umbrellas and random crap every 5 minutes so it kind of dampens the mood a little. When we payed for our disappointing meal the guy at the cash register couldn't even muster a proper goodbye or look at us in the face. Just rude. I guess the dodgy-looking mermaid on the menu should've been an indicator for what was to come in the future!More

The average meal quality happens to be in direct competition with the 17% extra service charge. The extra charge is published in tiny characters. This remembers me of insurance policies. This place is a disgrace, a scam. Stay away.

After shopping in the market we strolled across the park and there we found La Sirena restaurant. The staff was welcoming and in particular M. Fortunato who told us that he was the most experienced of the staff. He was multilingual and friendly and helpful...in each language! We all enjoyed the food and drink. We recommend this restaurant on a visit to charming Ventimiglia.More

The restaurant is ok, nothing fancy, typical cheap italian beach place. Food is average but what knocked us out of our chairs was the 17% service charge. I asked to see whether the tip was included. We paid 17% for 3 poor pieces of bread...and some olives in an extremely dirty cup. Huh!!!!More

Awful, horrible food, ridiculous prices. The spaghetti Bolognese tasted like canned childrens food, pizza without taste, and spaghetti pesto was overcooked and Pesto from Lidl. The coca cola was priced 5.50 plus 17% VAT. For 0.33l. Not normal, and a complete rip-off. Dont go here!!

Service was warm and responsive. The Prosciutto Pizza's crust was thin and crispy with the yummy topping. Having lunch with sea breeze blowing in our face was surely a great enjoyment !

Orrible!! Nothing good and very expensive. Trap for tourists!! Don't go there!! Food was not bad at all, but at the end of the lunch suddenly the surprise... 110€ for 4dishes. 16€ only for service. A 25cl beer 4,90€ a coke 4,90€ a bottle of...water 4,90€. A coffee 2,50€. I think that this is to much for such place and quality.More

After market...quick and friendly service in a lovely spot on the sea. The best ravioli I have ever had in a rich and delicious tomato sauce. Lemon ice for dessert. Perfection!

It was the highlight of our trip to the Friday market in Ventimiglia. Great service from a very personable team. Fresh caprese and a filling Milanese was our favourites
