Went here during a short break following recommendations on TripAdvisor. Not disappointed. Two people, reasonable bottle of wine with the one steak and one prawn main course with a shared cheeseboard and coffee for two. 90 Euros. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good food but the most expensive meal we had in Bergamo but very enjoyable. Advisable to book... More

By far the best meal I had while in Italy. The owners and staff were friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular, and presentation was delightful. The chef's passion came through with each dish. We felt that the restaurant went above and beyond to treat us as guests.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. The proprietors of this authentic Italian restaurant are extremely welcoming and generous. The menu consists of fantastc fish courses, as well as some meat and vegetarian options. The food was traditionally Italian and delicious! Please don't hesitate to make a visit if you're in the the Bergamo area, it's definitely... More

This restaurant accommodated a party of 30 on Saturday evening with superior service and excellent food. The owners welcomed us and explained each course of the set meal which would be served. The selections were inspired and presented beautifully. I never have had individual servings of fish served to a large group that were perfectly prepared before. None of the... More

Saw this place on TripAdvisor before we went to Italy so we thought we'd give it a go for Sunday lunch. Have to say, we were not disappointed. This is a small family run restaurant just down from the Citta Alta district run by one family. We were made to feel very welcome even though we hadn't booked and we... More

This was by far the best dinning experience we had after spending a week in Italy. The owners were lovely and the service was excellent. We ate from the lunch set menu because of its superb value, and we were very satisfied.

An exquisite restaurant combining ambience, excellent service and delicious, beautifully presented, food at a fair price. The restaurant has outside seating, under a canopy, in the garden of this villa or inside a bright dining room. The seafood is particularly recommended. This should not be missed, and the obviously enthusiastic local clientele confirm this by their presence.

Description
Monna Lisa grew out of a combination of numerous work and life experiences, in a family which has always worked in the restaurant business. The birth of a daughter... a passion for ancient and traditional art... Sicilian culture which integrates with the Italian character and internationalism of people who like to call themselves 'world citizens'...as reflected in the furnishings, in the wine and in their gastronomic choices. You are received into welcoming atmosphere in a quiet and evocative corner of the centre of Bergamo, where taste , art, culture and traditions combine to offer customers a unique and elegant, yet simple, experience. Everything works in a way to make the customer feel part of the family at Monna Lisa, with care taken not only to please the palate, but also the eyes and ears. The Staff You will find a spirit of sharing and a sense of belonging. The staff of the Monna Lisa are a family: they are an efficient, creative, attentive organisation, which draws on the wealth of experience of its members, who have an extensive experience in the restaurant business. Peoples, each one of integral importance, complete the customer experience from the moment you walk in the restaurant. The dishes on offer are the result of personal experimentation, developed in detail until they deserve a place on the menu. The creativity, the refinement and the management style adopted by staff make Monna Lisa unique of its kind, set apart from the rest. Art through simplicity What makes a dish a 'work of art'? What makes cookery a language? The simplicity of the ingredients, the creativity and passion of the cook : simplicity, high quality and beautiful presentation are three essential principles that guide the choice of the dishes and their creation. At Monna Lisa, the aesthetics and the culinary choices capture the essence of traditional Italian and international cuisine, in all its beauty, harmony and poetry. Seafood specialities, fresh pasta, renowned desserts, use of carefully selected, top quality products, attention to detail, customer care and the 'work of art' created in each dish. That's how something beautiful to look at is also delicious to taste.
