Our family of 8 were warmly welcomed, immediately sat down in a secondary room, and very promptly served. The culatello was excellent, Lambrusco also, and the agnoli in brodo were truly delicious. Comfortable and good value for money

This nice small osteria is in the centre of the town, between Piazza Sordello and Piazza delle Erbe. The food was very good, with glass of red local wine.

Stopping over for lunch in Mantova, Osteria Broletto attracted me as a busy place in a busy area, a nice location for getting a feel for Mantova street life. While enjoying some good food: the Italian ham platter with local "mostard" sauce was a real treat, much enjoyed. Followed by a very delicious pasta dish - excellent! The staff was... More

This restaurant sits under a loggia between Piazza Sordello and Piazza delle Erbe. It's quite rustic compared to some of the bigger restaurants in Piazza delle Erbe and has more character than the tavola calda / bars on Piazza Sordello. Reasonable priced for good local food. I had two local specialities - the Tortelli di Zucca (pumpkin-filled pasta) and Luccio... More

We had the beef cheeks and risotto with sausage. Both were excellent and well priced. Nice relaxed atmosphere just on Piazza Erbe.

the worst food experience in Italy. We (4 persons) were attracted because it was full but we really regretted it. the food was disgusting - No taste. My mother in law couldn't eat more that one spoon of the Tagliattelli so the waitress suggested to replace the plate. At the end we found out that they wanted to charge us... More

I am puzzled by some of the negative reviews. I ate there lunchtime and the staff were friendly, the food fine (I had pumpkin ravioli) and the wine cheap and drinkable. Two bowls of pasta and a half a litre of wine for under 30 euros seemed decent.

Restaurant was busy so ventured in to a happy greeting. But don't be fooled by this cheating restaurant & wait staff who lie. A pasta dish presented by the waiter did not have the same ingredients as ordered on the menu. It ingredients changed as he announced its contents when he placed it in front & said it comes like... The Broleto was close to our hotel and an obvious place on a wet evening, though not our first preference. The food- Pecorino with pears and honey and risotto, Beef cheeks and chicken were acceptable but the whole atmosphere was dominated and spoiled by the wife and two small children of (?) the owner who clearly thought they were much... Popular eatery in the centre of town. Good service and food with a nice view of passers by from the outside seating. The local pumpkin pasta with a hint of amaretto is worth the visit alone.
