Walking back to the hotel we thought we would book something close by and we are very happy with the choice. I asked for vegetarian and the staff were quick to put together a very delicious meal. Each dish was beautifully presented and a delight to eat. They were light so you didn't feel too full but pleasantly contented. I... More

I have been here 3 times now, and it has been good on all occasions. It is certainly not a cheap and cheerful neighbourhood restaurant, and would be saved for a special occasion or if someone else is paying. The elephants ear was good, the steaks were very good, and if one thing was less than top notch it was... More

The trend in Milan is to get back To The roots. Somehow this place has a petanque camp in The middle of The dehors and Can offer a different pov in The Savona-Tortona area. The happy Hour was basic with classic mortadella cheese and pizza in cubes. I had a coke and my friend a glass of wine. Price in... More

A family dinner on the terrace: great location, great open air, great setting Service is kind and efficient But the food is bad: starters, pasta dishes, more than anything else the main courses (Milanese meat, fish, etc) are bad Badly cooked, very badly fried (potatoes, fish) Disappointing and a shame: such a beautiful place deserves a far better kitchen!!! We pop up for quick lunch. We had asparagus risotto and calzone, sorbetto and pana cota, four glases of wine and two espresso, everything was very tasty and for less than 60 Eur. Restaurant is nice, if it is not to hot, you can enjoy terrace! If near Navigli or Zona Tortona, pop up for nice meal!

My friend and I travel all over the world and have never been to such a despicable place, being treated with so much disrespect. We came in to have a cup of tea, which we explained to one of the waiters as we came in. Another waiter came to take our order for food, and as we explained we just... More

I visited ristorante boccino on a Monday evening by myself on a recent business trip. I knew nothing of the restaurant but was delightfully surprised by the quality and care of the food as well as the friendly service (especially given I was alone, clearly a visitor, and don't speak Italian). The tuna was perfectly prepared and the homemade bread... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
