Abysmal sequence of service. First time eating at a "Michelin Rated Restaurant" and all I can say is Michelin needs to get their act together when awarding such restaurants with these titles. Honestly what an utter disaster of a night meant for celebrations and a...good time. We ordered a selection of meals and without the waiter even asking all meals came at different timings even though this is not what we wanted-nobody even asked for this! Sushi was really bad quality, rice was not correctly spread and minimal at best. I called before asking for a birthday surprise for a friend of mine and what we got was appalling, Happy birthday written on the plate as if a child had done so and a single USED candle stuck in the dessert. I had to continuously wave my hands to get some service from the waiters which was bad for a "Michelin Star awarded restaurant" Overall the bad sequence of service, bad food quality and the very slow service is what ruined the experience. We waited 55 Minutes for the first food to come out which is shocking. Utter ridiculous --Avoid this place if you want good service and good food. There are hundreds of non-Michelin rated restaurants in Milan that are way better than this nonsense excuse of an establishment.More

Amazing experience - better service and urumaki than Nobu. Would highly recommend, also very reasonably priced. Didn’t lift a finger :)

I often go to Iyo for business or simply to eat serious Japanese. Many people are accustomed to eat "Japanese" in Italy, but usually those places are fake, usually low level places with a pale imitation of Japanese style using awful raw materials. I want...to point out Japanese cuisine is by definition expensive, due to raw materials and fish. and about Japanese style, see and test real fresh wasabi... (see photo) try to ask it to a "all You can eat" place... Iyo offers 2 different menus and a wide variety of "a la carte" meals. We preferred be guided from Renato, sommelier and maitre we know since 15 years. Selection was very attractive and cared. Food of high level, only a minor "glitch" mixing "burrata": with Japanese style seemed a bit out of place for our taste.More

I found IYO very good but NOT worth the trip from my town and not worth the price you pay. I love Japanese cuisine and the meal at IYO is definitely high quality. Nevertheless if I compare it to other Michelin star restaurants I visited,...this does not fall in the top 5. Service was excellent and dishes very elaborated. Nevertheless the final results is not as exciting as you would expect from the (long) descriptions of the plates. I liked it but I will not return.More

We did the tasting meny, with the waygu option. Dishes were tasteful, presentation nice and texture great. Waygu, tuna and the last dessert (do not remember what it was) were our favourites. Serivce was great, what i was missing was a little bit more experimental...dishes - creativity was some what missing. But all in all a great experience, and recommended.More

I like when you can eat at a Michelin star and not feel awkward. The staff here was very friendly and personable, they made you feel welcomed and engaged in some simple conversation which made our evening go exceptionally well. Definitely come for the taster...menu because that’s where you’ll get the 9 course meal and I recommend doing the wine pairing because the sommelier’s know how to enhance the quality of the meal with their wine selections. There are lots of other menu options in case you’re not interested in the fine dining experience of having courses of meals. The food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked, I like how we were served just enough food and wine and didn’t feel stuffed or hungry; it was just right! Most one stars tend to have a problem over compensating but this place met the mark very well. We were even lucky enough to meet the Chefs which was such a cool experience. Would easily come here again and I recommend others to as well.More

This restaurant executed flawlessly. The food & service were outstanding. The staff is multilingual. Everyone speaks English. Super knowledgeable, professional & friendly staff. They have Sake sommeliers! Great choices on the tasting menu, which we chose. Great design & ambiance. It is hard to think...how they could have done a better job.More

The service here is amazing. The food was a great mix of Classical Japanese and Italian elements thrown in. We ordered the tasting menu which was great. The portions were perfect and we finished full but not too much. Every single dish was interesting and...delicious. The baked oysters with sauce were a great start. The squid with quail was a really interesting plate with very odd textures. The nigiris were all great as well. The cold noodles with caviar were very refreshing which was nice because it was really hot outside. The baked egg was super interesting and perfectly runny. I wouldn’t order the Wagyu add on unless you really love that, I felt it wasn’t as good as the other plates. Lastly the desserts were both delicious and the little tasting dessert they bring at the end was magnificent. The peanut looking one was super interesting. I would recommend this to anyone that likes Japanese food.More

Excellent food , very tasty, fresh and nicely presented ( I appreciate it was not overdone in decoration of the plate). Outstanding service, both waiters were very professional, I particularly liked the attitude of the waiter who served the food, he was discreet but at...the same time having an eye on us at all time, ready for any need we might have had. The cooked eel, black cod and passion fruit with pistachio desert were top favorites . Very good value for money!More
