This was a truly one of a kind dining experience. The owner was very friendly, food was superb (best I’ve had on a 3 week trip across Europe), and the ambience was great. Simply couldn’t be better. Highly recommend as a must visit in Milan.

Grazie di cuore per la sua bellissima recensione

From the food, to the wine, to the staff Barzac was an absolutely fantastic experience! My friends and I were on our last night in Milan and went out for a late dinner and when we arrived at Barzac, they were beginning to close up...for the evening. The owner came over (probably noticing that we were tourists) and asked if we were familiar with the structure of the menu/portion sizes/etc. Because the restaurant was virtually empty, the owner paid very close attention to us, our food, and our wine, not sure if that happens during peak hours. He recommended a few dishes and a bottle of wine that did not disappoint. We ate at over 15 restaurants across the city, Barzac was by far the best food and atmosphere.More

This is the best restaurant you will get to. The owner & staff are exceptional, Pierre, you are a master of service. We had dinner here 2 nights in a row, due to fabulous food & ambience. Both occasions were sublime. The pastas & the...carpaccio were incredible. My husband had the steak, again amazing. Do yourself a favor & get to this restaurant whether you are near or far, ITS THE BEST , thank you Pierre for 2 great nightsMore

It’s hard to put into words how amazing this restaurant is. From the owners & servers, to the food, to the atmosphere & ambiance. Start to finish, this was by far the BEST dinner experience that we have had, not only in Italy, but our...ENTIRE lives. A review saying the same thing is what brought us to the restaurant but mama mia I did NOT expect to have an experience of a lifetime. We were welcomed with open arms & the staff blew our expectations out of the water. Don’t even get me started on the food, the pastas made us feel warm & truly gave us chills after finishing!! Mark my words, if I could and can, we will have this family cater our entire wedding, he agreed, I won’t forget ;). A truly authentic Italian experience to say the least. You cannot go wrong with ANY of the pastas that are offered and the same goes for the second courses. Don’t you worry either, the greatness carries onto the dessert menu as well. The tiramisu was to die for and you MUST try the tortelli. We were absolutely blown away and will make sure to ALWAYS stop here anytime we are ever in Italy. Even if it’s just a day trip to Milan specifically for it. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it, go to the restaurant, get to know the fine gentleman and his wife who run the place. She is a true GODDESS when it comes to pasta. I don’t say it often, but this was truly a PERFETTO experience from start to finish. The first thing I wanted to do upon arriving home, besides going down straight for a nap, was to leave these fine people the greatest review I could. If I could hand out Michelin stars, they would have THREE. The best Italian in Milan, the best pasta in Milan, just truly the BEST. I am sorry we did not catch your names but to the whole staff, if you’re reading this, thank you for making our final night in Italy the best one yet. We are already dreaming of coming back!! I forgot to mention, after our first and second course, we HAD to go back for a 3rd round of pasta. Let me tell you, best decision we have ever made. - Matt & Genni 05/29/2024More

What a fabulous experience. And please don’t confuse this restaurant with a “normal” trattoria or cafe. It isn’t. The menu just throws surprises at you and be sure to scrutinise the specials board. That’s where my starter was described to me; an egg yolk, somehow...crispy, yet still runny, on a bed of a light creamy sauce and topped with grated truffle cheese. Thankfully, the owner then described a simple main course of beef cheeks with braised leeks. I say ‘thankfully’ as it was the last one. Both courses were so light I found I had room for a pasta dish, so a dish of delicate ravioli, filled with braised beef in a raging sauce was ordered and served. Stunning. Everything was washed down with a couple of glasses of excellent house red. Desert was tiramisu, but so light and delicious, not stodgy or overly sweet. An expresso to finish and I left, vowing to return at the earliest opportunity. Thank you, Barzac, for an incredible dining experience.More

We made a reservation for Barzac for our first night Milano and were delighted by both the owners and the delicious food. To start, we were lucky enough to get the last Uovo Calice of the season. It consists of a breaded and slightly fried...egg yolk served in a soft truffle cheese. When you cut into the egg, the delicious yolk blends with the cheese to create a truly unique dish. It was exquisite. We then shared the Sgambis or Caprese and it, too, was delicious. For our entrees, I had ricotta and spinach tortelli with butter and sage. Yum! My wife had Marluss, which is a cod steak in a light tomato, onion, and fennel sauce with a radish salad as a side. Both of these were perfectly prepared. We had no room for desert, but will have one on our next visit. From Pier we learned about their dedication to a fresh menu that reflects both his and Germana’s regions. We are so glad that they decided to leave their careers in the airline industry and focus on Barzac. Go and enjoy!More

Firstly the staff is great an very helpfull and friendly; just great service. Secondly, the food is perfect. Me and the wife enjoy making pasta at home and most of the times we say and can make better dishes than some restaurants; this time no,...we couldn’t do what these guys can. We take our hats off to them for some of the best pasta ever. Also, we tried some tiramisu and I can say is was incredibly balanced, you could feel and enjoy each flavor from the ingredients. In conclusion, we will surely come back when we return to Milano.More
