Don’t you dare to walk by this living piece of cocktails history. Order Negroni Sbagliato (or 4!) (10€), eat cold omelette, some olives and pickles - enjoy your time travel in Wes Anderson like looking bar. That’s where sbagliato was born, pay some respect!

Out of the crowd, out of the movida and trends, the Bar Basso is one of the most authentic Bar of Milan, with all the charme of the 60s and the timeless best places not for tourists. Professional service, classic furniture, best cocktails in town,...More

The waiter was extremely rude. He didn't want to give us a receipt and forgot part of our order. I don't have a problem with the relatively high prices, but I would at least expect to be treated decently. I absolutely don't recommend this place,...More

Very remarkable place with several traditions, which buy the way claims invention of negroni sbagliato cocktail. I think the service was slow, but maybe it should be this way in classy places. I strongly suggest visiting it, if you happened to be nearby.

Went there with my family, and got ok service. The waiters took their time, but the drinks we got was large and tasty. The aperitivo wasn't really our cup of tea, but the bar and the seating outside was nice.

Our B&B owner recommended that we have a drink here as it is world famous. As it was only about 2 blocks away we gave it a try and had their famous/infamous Negroni Sbagliato which must be one of the few drinks that was concocted...More

We visited Bar Basso for the historical cocktail significance. Here's the abridged review: The drinks were great, the nibbles were good but the service was disappointing. We felt like a bother or a nuisance to our server. I've read comments about foreigners getting worse service...More
