Food was good and prices were decent for a little place next to the canal but service was not great, we stopped there as we were tired & hungry after our flight but if we hadn't been we might have picked some place friendlier

We just jump in for lunch. We seated outside cos was a wonderful day. We receive the menu without anyone asking 'how are you, do you like a drink?'. After a friend of mine call the waiter and we waited over 15 minutes while the waiter was resetting spare table we decided to leave. A restaurant is a place to... More

Stopped by this gem for lunch on our last day in Milan. We were searching for a lovely little spot like this during our time there and are glad we found it! The wait staff was attentive and kind but might've been slightly understaffed for the demand that afternoon. We were able to be seated right away outside in the... More

The food was good, the bacon-tomato pasta was full of taste. The waiter was nice and polite. The price if the lunch menu is pretty low which is suitable for low-budget travelers.

Because the February sun was shining, we decided to eat outside along the canal...we wanted pasta, not sandwiches, and the Vetusta menu looked good. My husband enjoyed his risotto milanese with saffron and sausage. My spaghetti with meat sauce "Vetusta" and mushrooms was typical...not "special" in any way...we had wine by the glass--very expensive (E6 per glass)--but we found that... More

Visited this place while i was walking along the Naviglio canal. It looks great and i recommend to sit outside to have a view and enjoy the vibe of the street. It has a good selection of food and great wines, i end up spending over 2h there while the wine open. Enjoy !

I visit milan twice a year on business, and always stay in the canal district. I can honestly say this is the worst service I have ever received, and it was the highest service charge I have ever paid in a restaurant of this type €7 per person, what a joke ! .......the chickpea soup was tasty .....although we waited... Not so good choice for dinner, the osobuco was very bad. Good choice of wines though. Most of the people were eating cold platers and drinking wine. We wanted to eat a proper meal and the osobuco was our obvious choice since we wanted a signature dish. Nevertheless as already said, the main dish was not so tasty, the risoto... More

It was 25th December night and Vetusta was open that night. We arrived by Metro and it is one of the first options when you arrive at the river (turn left). Food was very good - small portions though for a teenager :-), who had to eat two lasagnas, reasonable prices. Cozy environment.

A nice place near the river. Food is nice but not something special. There are a lot of wines to select and some draft beers. Prices are reasonable, but the portions are a bit smaller than normal.

Thank Aris M

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
