Had a really delicious lunch here, with all food and drink lovingly recommended and described by the owner. It's a small place that looks very snacky, but the food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and locals (or Italians at least) were having serious meals around us!

Visited Friarie tonight with my son and had a great meal in this small eatery. Lovely food based on the south of Italy (where the owner is from) we had a few dishes; pasta with peppers; meatballs; sweet dough pizza; pork escalope with olives and 'friarie', which is very unusual but lovely. It's easy to here tram 19 alight at... More

I had an amazing evening at Friarie a few weeks ago!! The food was absolutely delicious and I have to mention the delectible eggplant parmigiana that was totally drool worthy!! Get there early as it is a favourite!! ;-) And save room for dessert, the flourless chocolate cake is to die for!! Friarie is a small restaurant, giving it a... More

If you're in the neighbourhood- at MiCo congress or the San Siro. Stop off here for a lovely fresh lunch. My experience is echoed by all below. Just come here. Simple food done well. And a nice chat. Ask him about Maradona :)

Perhaps the most friendly proprietor we've ever met. Genuine and passionate about his cuisine. Excellent mediterranean dishes with great recommendations. Beautiful, quiet neighbourhood.

The owner is really joyful and welcome you by resenting the different dishes he have. All seams really good! Mostly vegetarian food. We had an eggplant lasagna, a slice of pizza, a really good grilled and sunny salad, with water(no tap water here...) and two coffees for 23€. Really faire price!

Walking back to the place we were staying, say this place and say it on TripAdvisor, so we stopped in for dessert. The man who served us was very nice, he asked if we spoke English, we do, and knew English very well. He told us what all the desserts were, and they all looked fantastic. Very pretty, and well... Just had this little bit of Napoli cater to a party at home. Everyone was thrilled with absolutely everything we ate. Ingrid prepared our menu, it was perfect for the whole bunch (kids aged 2 to grandma age 84!) It was so much food I had to do doggy bags. The biggest hit was the eggplant parmigiana not to mention... The owner speaks perfect English and she is very helpful picking out choices. The only problem: my eyes were bigger than my tummy!!!! Everything tasted like my grandma had made it who was Italian and an excellent cook. The wine was the perfect accompaniment ..... You can take your order to-go or you can eat at one of their tables... More

Description
Friarié, a small corner of Naples in Milan, but not the usual one known for Vesuvio, pizza, guitars, but the tasty Naples, the one for the food experts and the taste followers. Not the one that can be seen on the postcards but the one that you can smell and taste only walking around it and trying its street food. For those who cannot live it everyday……here is Friarié - Bontà e Gatronomia Partenopea the embassy of Neapolitan food in Milan in a little modern place but still linked to the traditional way of cooking food in Naples.
