Visited this restaurant with a group of work colleagues of all nationalities. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome into his restaurant. Very homely atmosphere. He did his best to speak a little English (and we tried our little bit of Italian!) but we all managed to communicate. The menu was in both Italian and English. There were plenty... More

We were traveling to Rome stoping off in Turin on the way there and back. Visited Salvos on our way there and loved it so much we returned on our way home. The food is fantastic, reasonably priced and Salvo is the perfect host.

We stayed at the Dock Milano just a short 4 minutes walk to the da Salvo. The restaurant is around the corner from the hotel . Not on the main road. The owner is helpful and not condisending. You have the choice of 2 menues one in Italian the othrr in English. After a short discussion we went with the... More

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our hotel. Down a side street but definitely worth the walk. Lovely proprietor who is evidently very proud of his Sicilian roots. All staff very attentive. The food was fabulous. Our children appreciated the pizzas - the dough is prepared long in advance. A good selection of wine; the proprietor helped... More

We went to this restaurant, as it was near to the hotel and everything seemed to be shut on this festival weekend. It was busy and seemed very nice. The waiters were very friendly. The menu was a little hard to decipher as it was handwritten and only some things were translated into English, which was frustrating. We ordered pizzas... More

We went to Da Salvo on a Sunday, it was the only opened restaurant in the area (weird that restaurants were closed on festivity days). It was a pleasant surprise. My partner had mussels and clams and I took pizza "salsiccia and friarielli". Everything was so delicious that we didn't have time to take pictures for TripAdvisor :) At the... More

My family and I went to dinner here based on a recommendation of the hotel we were staying. The owner of the restaurant was there to welcome us and to walk us to our table, a very nice touch. We then heard his recommendations and he took our order. Up until that point, service was great...but then there was no... More

We just happened upon this place whilst walking around Turin. We say a few people eating outside, it looked nice so we decided to stop. We were presented with a menu that even had some basic English translation, we didn't expect that! We ordered simple, two Carbonara's with side salads and wine. The wine was delicious and the food really... More
