Beautiful little family restaurant in center of Bolzano. Had a nice waiter who spoke English and talked me into a very nice "mixed" starter. All four samples on starter were perfectly prepared and delicious. I was in the mood for pizza and opted for the chef's surprise which was also wonderful. But I wish I had another night to come... We came in for dinner. There is no menu in English and the staff speaks only very basic English so there is no real ability to communicate and the chance is things going wrong is huge. The kids had pizza which was ok and earned the place the one star. All other plates were bad, came out of the kitchen... More

This restaurant will forever be my favorite!! After showing up in Bolzano at midnight due to missed trains the staff was so kind to serve myself and eight friends (most restaurants were closed upon our arrival on Sunday night)! The food was amazing!! We called ahead so that our order would be ready when we arrived anticipating they would close... More

After missing two trains and traveling for 12 hrs, you could say our group was extremely exhausted. We called Marechiaro asking that they stay open for a group of nine. We arrived at the restaurant around midnight and was treated like royalty. The staff was some of the nicest I had ever met. The food was incredible (get the texas... More

Marechiaro is famous for its fish dishes, but also for its pizzas. The ambience is nice and quiet, the prices are upscale, but they offer a good price/performance ratio. For out-of-towners it might be a bit difficult to find a parking space right next to the restaurant (if you are there after 7 pm you might park anywhere in the... More

We went to Marechiaro for New Year's Eve after reading the good Tripadvisor reviews. We were all highly disappointed. The food was very overpriced. Worst, after waiting for 25 min for someone to take our order, the waiter was very rude/insulting. We had a terrible experience, NEVER AGAIN!

I have been to Marechiaro a couple of times now and both times I have been impressed with the impeccable service received from the owner and his staff. Extremely attentive and the pizzas are fantastic! Most definitely one of the best pizzerias in Alto Adige, well worth a visit! The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is classy and elegant... I recommend Marechiaro for the very friendly employees, the romantic atmosphere and the great sea food dishes!
