Such a beautiful building and gorgeous view. Sitting on the terrace and just admiring the Etschtal on a sunny day is a must. For my liking, prices are bit too steep.....Wine and prosecco should be served with nibbling etc too
Found Saxifragra as a very welcome oasis on a day that turned out much warmer than we expected. A friendly, comfortable oasis with a great view and the occasional cooling breeze. Very nice. Food was good too: I had a (variation on a) Caprese salad,...More
A must visit when staying in Merano. Beautiful location , sitting on the terrace on a glorious sunny day overlooking the valley does not get much better. Food is excellent and is perfectly accompanied by wine from the owners own vineyards ( delicious Chardonnay) ....More
excellent food, lovely service, perfect view in a very tranquil setting. the service and quality of local and home made foods, breads, oils and vines is simply stunning. one of my most favourite spots when in Merano.

Yeah, it is a bit of a climb, but Saxifraga is very much worth the effort. With a seasonal menu that changes frequently, and a focus on local food producers, it'd be hard to go wrong. And then there are the views over Merano and...More
