Had a glass of robelo and enjoyed it, I think that if you catch it when its busy the atmosphere would be excellent. The chichetti looked really tasty though we did not partake. The decor was really nice, very period, made you feel like you...More

This is one of the oldest bars in Venice and it has been in continual use. We had a lovely chilled white wine and some baccalà mantecato. Delicious. The ceiling is covered with copper pots used for carrying water. Very characteristic.

Love visiting the oldest wine bar in Venezia! Atmosphere is great! The wine and selection of delicious cicchetti should not be missed.

We are from the Midwestern United States so we don't really enjoy seafood or fish and that is what most cicchetti seems to be made from, so we didn't really enjoy that. We did have a nice glass of wine here though. It's pretty crowded...More

We visited this place on our foodtour. The tour was about wine and chiccettis, we got served a breadtoast with fish (chicetti) and red wine. We entered the bar near closing time and the bar was empty and the owner was cleaning his osteria, his...More

The place has been around since Cassanova and has a lovely ambience with a touch of class. You can tell they take their chichetti seriously by the way the staff interacts with customers and handle the food. Loved the baccala mantecato. The house red wine...More

We visited today, during some of Venice's worst floods in many years. We ended up staying for a couple of hours. The wine was very reasonably priced, and of good quality, including the house red, a Merlot, and the range of bar snacks at €2...More

This is an incredibly old bar just a street away from the Rialto Bridge but it is just far enough away to escape the swarm of tourists. Enjoy a cheap drink and a plate of cicchetti while you're here! And, if you're lucky, some street...More

Great place for easy lunch of typical Venetian ciccheti (and just a good choice of wine). Not just a tourist attraction despite its location, lots of locals dropping by. Super choice of food and friendly staff. It's small so don't rely on getting a seat/table...More

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six
sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest
neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San
