We stumbled across this lovely little place whilst on wonder for dinner. Nice and cosy feel inside. Food was lovely and we had steak and pizza. The steak just melted in your mouth! Staff are very busy but all you had to do was catch their eye and they couldn't do enough for you. Fab meal and we would definitely... More

Visited this restaurant and The menu is very nice and contains pizza pasta fish and other meat dishes, the type of place where there's too much choice ! Excellent food, I had the salmone fillet with the balsamico oil, taste great quality! Portion looked quite small however I was full!!! Will defiantly visit again, great price for the quality and... Worst than average - avoid given the options in Venice- expensive for average food which a lot seems to be frozen or shipped in from outside.

We were recommended to try this restaurant and were quite excited going there but I can say that we have had better places to eat in Venice. The food is average especially the pasta dishes we tried and the price on the higher side. The service was okay but not outstanding. Also the wifi was not working at the restaurant while... More

My husband and I came across this restaurant when looking for lunch one day and were quite impressed. The food was significantly better than in other places we had stopped in for lunch. My husband had a pizza and raved about it, especially the thin base and nice toppings. I think it was the best one he had on our... More

The restaurant itself is strictly average. The food isn't bad per se, but it is just average. If you're coming all the way to Italy then you want good food. The prices were also really expensive which was a downer. Having average food is bad enough but followed by a steep bill adds insult to injury. But the worst thing... More

Good quality food, especially recommend the pizza - italian style super thin and good tasty toppings. Very pleasant staff. Not masses of atmosphere but it was Monday night in November - not their fault! And not fine dining and prices are in keeping. Near to Campo Santa Barbara. We were happy with meal and this is Venice where below average... More

This is in no way a genuine restaurant but how many genuine restaurants are there in your home town? Of course students and younger people (and there are many of them in this part of the town) wants a place to hang out in and they don't want a place that looks like grandmas house. Not that this place is... More

Not a restaurant that will give you the scent of Venice. Average food and a little bit expensive. Had the past with mixed seafood and a pizza. Just average.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
