Food was ok, prices according to its location, which is enviable. Service was slow, although only two tables had guests, four in total. It is a pity.

We found it before looking at the reviews and were glad we did otherwise might have missed out. I had the crab linguine and my hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs. My linguine was lovely although could have been better if offered Parmesan and black pepper. My husbands spaghetti and meatballs he thoroughly enjoyed although I tasted it and thought... More

Surprised by the bad reviews. My experience was totally different and I am difficult to please. The food was tasty and well presented (sea bass deboned to perfection, baked potatoes and salad), the service was great and I quite liked the ambience. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Keep in mind that Italy is quite expensive. One cannot have... More

After trying to get a table at half a dozen of trip advisers top rated restaurants we turned the phone off and chose off looks and menu. Would never have gone in this place if had looked at the reviews beforehand. However we could not fault any of our meals- pizza, seafood risotto, ravioli and deserts. All lovely. Drinks a... More

There are so many restaurants in Venice and we did not bother to try to find those supposedly really good ones as they are all so expensive. The nominated ones as mega expensive, and would they really make any difference to our stay in Venice -- I don't think so. We stayed away from those, and stumbled across this one... More

Shocked with the bad reviews. The service and ambiance was actually very nice and humble. The pastas are good.

I really don't understand why this place has got such low reviews. We visited on 4 separate occasions in the 3 days we were in Venice because of the great service and delicious food. The marinara pizza was by far the best pizza we had on our holiday. The pasta was also really good too. Recommended.

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh and tasty. The restaurant can seat approximately 20 people outside, and although it's in the centre of Venice, it's not quite as busy as some of the other places. In terms of cost it was middle of the road for Venice which is very expensive.

Arrogant staff reminds you it is a "restaurant" so you need to order food and just antipasti+wine is not OK. The 1st and 2nd course food we tried was not good but the out-of-winelist Tuscany 2012 Tassinaia was actually over expectations even if overpriced at 75 EUR. Probably better for all if you walk another 50 meters and find another... More

We had lunch here (16th of September 2016), 2 pizzas and 3 cokes... the 3 cokes costed more than one pizza, 5.50€ for each coke, total of 48 euros. We felt robbed and worse of all the food was not good at all. The pizzas were the worse we ever ate anywhere! Avoid this place.

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
