Go visit San Francesco Della Vigna to see some terrific madonnas and peaceful cloisters (vaporetto stop, Celestia or Fond ) then head south into Castello some more and eat at this not fancy but excellent osteria A le Do Marie on Calle de l’Ogio, Castello...More

We stopped for a Campari and a gin & tonic before dinner elsewhere. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were huge! We also had a little appetiser which was good not a smart place but good for drinks.
