Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We love this cosy Trattoria, with its quietly friendly, good humoured and welcoming staff and owners. The food is healthy and delicious and appealingly served. The way the waiter mixes the salad dressing at the table, is an art form in itself and we were...pleased to see him instructing his young colleague in the art on our second visit. Top marks all round - we will be back!More

Absolute WONDERFUL dining experience. The two of us were greeted with a smile and seated promptly at the far corner table so we could watch people stroll by. This is located in a peaceful residential spot yet not far from the active areas of Venice....We felt as if we were dining on a Venice movie set it was so beautiful and charming. The food was also very good. If we return to Venice we definitely want to be sure to return!More

What a wonderful location in a quiet square. We both had seafood risotto and then liver which were both great. Might be the best meal of our 5 day trip to Venice. Some tables in the centre were a little dark so maybe as for...one at the edges which have table lights.More

This is my favorite restaurant in Venice - I have been here many times over 20 Years of visiting. My mother chose to celebrate her 80th birthday here. It is on a quiet campo with lovely outside seating and also cosy indoor dining (we ate...inside when it rained once). The food is excellent with the best ingredients. I can’t recommend San Daniele prosciutto enough. It is fantastic. The service is friendly and very good.More

Set in a quiet square in Dorsoduro Venice. Quite a Limited but interesting menu with wines and many ingredients from the owners own farm. Not the warmest of welcomes we were greeted with “your early”! We wouldn’t bother again

A recommendation from our Airbnb host. A perfect example of getting away from the tourist areas of Venice and finding a locals only restaurant. Amazing food and service.

We went as a family with small children, plus some friends, and this was perfect. The restaurant is on a quiet campo where the children played while the adults enjoyed the dinner. Venetian classics are given here an original twist that accommodates the owner's Sardinian...heritage. The wine (we had house white) comes from the owner's own vineyard there and is highly recommended. The staff was attentive, professional and kind, which is not a given in Venice. In short, this is a gem.More

We spent a month in Venice and tried many restaurants including top recommendations, but this one came top. Service is excellent, food is amazing, and it’s located in a quiet ‘campo’ very peaceful and relaxing. We had a wonderful time here and have no hesitation...in making a recommendation.More

Absolutely terrible. A fraud. 22€ for literally 5 ravioli which were not very good. The crab taggliatelle are even a smaller portion, I would say about 1/3 of a regular pasta plate un Italy. Very dissapointing

My husband and I loved our dinner here. We had the rigatoni, the freggola and the rabbit, and it was delicious. You have to make a reservation on•line, and there’s a €30 euro penalty if you don’t show but it’s worth it. It’s very small...and feels like a living room. The service is great too!More

Formerly Pane Vino e San Daniele. An American hostess and her Italian husband, decided to revert back to the tradition of the location and renamed the restaurant. They also own a vineyard to supply some of their wine. One of my top three in Venice.

We had visited the restaurant a while ago and our memory was that the food was excellent - which was why we returned. But today was not impressive. The location is great and several of the tables were seemingly occupied by locals. Also, the service,...by someone I suspect was the owner, was good. But . . . (1) the bread was stale; (2) the melon in our melone & prosciutto was not ripe and hard. (3) My companion’s fregola (it’s a type of pasta) was tastY, but my pasta and fagioli was tasteLESS - completely. (I’ve had it often before and made it myself, so it’s not like I don’t know what it’s supposed to taste LIKE.) And the final bill, with two very-small glasses of Vermentino wine and a bottle of water was €78. The proprietor noted at the end that I had left a great deal of my meal in my bowl and asked of everything was ok, but what was there for me to say? I certainly didn’t expect him to comp the meal . . . Very disappointing. But if you’ve read this far, please also read my completely opposite recent review of Trattoria di Jonny.More

We found this place on trip advisor and went early since we didn’t have a reservation. They were able to seat us right at 7:30. The patio is quiet and the service was good. My husband ordered the steak and really enjoyed it, I had...the ravioli which was a little different and not my favorite but still nice quality. Good place to get away from the crowdsMore
