I read about La Bitta in an article in Olive magazine and as it wasn't far from our rented apartment thought we would give it a try. The menu in the window looked inviting. I booked several days in advance and we were lucky to...More

Lovely place! The beef tagliatelle and panacotta were definitely highlights! There are lots of seafood restaurants in Venice so it was nice to dine at La Bitta and eat some awesome meat dishes for a change.

This is a small restaurant with two seatings. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to be at one of them. If you are, you'll have a very enjoyable meal. No long menu with too many items here. It's what's cooking tonight and,...More

Not being a seafood person, particularly of the shelled variety, La Bitta suited me perfectly (they do not do fish!). The food here was excellent and one of the most enjoyable I have had in a long time. A pasta starter and a meat main...More

They have a very short menu that is likely to change according to the ingredients they have. This always make good impression on me as restaurants with hundreds pages menu make me suspicious about the quality which was very high indeed. We took the 'filetto...More

While you won't get your typical Venetian seafood fare, you get so much more by way of the quality of the food and the wonderful preparation. My husband sought out La Bitta last week on our vacation looking for a Slow Food restaurant, we were...More

This restaurant was recommended by Rick Steves, and by another reviewer. I can't agree. The veal bocconcini dish I had was bland and gray, as was the pappardalle with leaks and (frozen?) peas. My dinner comapanions smiled bravely through their dishes. The wine I ordered,...More

The restaurant is small and has two sittings at 7.00pm and 9.00pm so booking is recommended. A three course meal for two people with wine is likely to be around 100Euros plus. No fish is served here. The waiter and waitress speak excellent English and...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,

I genuinely wouldn't bother. Our experience was dreadful, mediocre food and rude service. Then overcharged. Don't waste your time and money. Osteria Ai Do Farai is nearby and excellent
