Usual tourist trap (locals don't eat here for sure): bad and low quality food, very small portions and of course very expensive! Don't be tricked by the friendly waiter, it's definitely the only positive thing in this restsurant, besides the location..

We stumbled on this trattoria as we were looking for a place for lunch, and were not disappointed. The room is quite small but cozy, the waiter was very pleasant and the food was very good. I had an appetiser with cannoli (seafood, not the...More

Our hotel suggested we go to this restaurant. It was very busy, seemingly many locals. The food was delicious, good portions and very reasonable. We had an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 sides and 1/2 carafe of wine for under $60. A wonderful dining experience.

Try to sit outside. Beautiful flowers. Went for lunch. My hubby had lasagna and I had "shrimp" with grilled vegetables. Go for the view and great wine.

It was getting late and we were hungry. On the path back to the hotel and thought "why not" - the waiter seemed nice enough and the menu looked decent. Food came and folks it went beyond our expectations! I had the spaghetti nero (cuttlefish...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

You should ask the people working at the trattoria. Not the reviewer. 😊
