Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had wanted to come her for my 50th bday at end of the month and was shocked to see reservation for earlier this month. I reached out to restaurant as I wanted to schedule for June 26th for my 50th celebration. I also had...the St Regis reach out as I wanted to reschedule and they were adamant that they would charge me $65 for the "missed reservation." I wanted to still go but they wouldnt budge. I travel very frequently to Venice and will never ever go here again (had been there before). Really dumb if you asked me as my wife and I always get a nice bottle and spend around 400-500 for two people. Oh well will have to settle for the Michelin starred restaurant that took their place. really short sighted.More

Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant and had an awful experience. We had the aspargus Risotto and it tasted like milk rice, actually not even that. It tasted like rice and boiled water, very boring, tasteless. When they asked us if all was right...(my girlfriend barely touched her dish as we did not like it) we gave an honest feedback and said it was not good, definitely the most boring risotto we have ever had. Then, the waitress put on a show. Instead of apologizing and asking if there was something they could do for us (which is expected in any restaurant, especially one that is in the michelin guide) she said we should’ve complained right away and mocked us, did a complete mocking show. I then also politely complained about her behaviour, but in this family run restaurant seems like the customer is never right and feedback is unacceptable, even when they ask for it. I find it completely unimaginable that this restaurant is in the Michelin Guide and wanted to express my disappointment.More

Really excellent meal in atmospheric attractive surroundings. Super helpful waitstaff with a sense of humor and willingness to experiment with wines by the glass. Lots of good choices in that dept -- all natural wines, which I often don't like, but these run the gamut...from recognizable as the grape one's used to (with "unnatural" wines) to the dry apple cider that every grape seems to turn to with "natural" -- and lots of good choices for an unhip person like me with those preferences. Had the mackerel in deconstructed saor and the minty fettucini, both excellent. Would certainly go back. They were accommodating of my vegetarianish daughter who liked her meal a lot, modified from what was on the menu.More

Great food and superb value for money in Venice? It can be found at Ai Mercanti! Simone and Ania are excellent hosts - backed up by a professional and knowledgeable team. We went there for dinner every night of our four-day stay and were hugely...rewarded every time. Food and wine highly recommended - as is the grappa.More

Not a very appealing environment, but the food and service are good. Excellent wine list, reasonably priced. Service professional.

Very yummy. This is Michelin quality food. Really liked all the dishes we had. Definitely not a tourist trap, despite the great location. Very quiet part of Venice. This place will be enjoyed by discerning palettes.

Wonderful food. Every mouthful was divine! Our best meal in Venice and much better prices than other places. The staff were attentive and friendly. The ambience was tasteful and relaxing. The wine waiter was so knowledgeable and even wrote down some vineyards for us to...visit on our drive back home. Strongly recommended.More

Everything my girlfriend and I tried here was magnificent. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the risotto was perfectly cooked and was some of the best I’ve ever had. Though the best thing we had there was the onion soup, it was potentially the...best onion soup I’ve ever. Definitely give that a try when you go!More

You have to search out this restaurant, it is down a narrow alley and you are welcomed into a courtyard where there is outdoor dining. We sat outside on a Saturday night in early September. The staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable about their wine...list and menu. Delicious food made with the freshest of ingredients - simply sublime. Could not recommend highly enough - a must visit!.More

We had booked, which was essential, and paid a deposit in case of no show (a good policy) and although we were early were seated in the courtyard and treated very well. The menu choice was perfect and small (always a good sign) and whilst...I couldn’t see why a hamburger was on the menu (maybe it was deconstructed?) our food was beautifully cooked, well presented and delicious. The only downside was a table of four Americans (three quiet - one male, two females - and looking bored) that dominated the courtyard by talking about his work, his staff and his conquests. Maybe he was their boss but he was a drunken bore and a poor example of his country, and the restaurant staff should have asked him to quieten down since every table kept looking across at him. This didn’t spoil the food but ruined the atmosphere.More

Service at its best, always attentive and overseeing the table situations, very nice and charismatic people. The service has a lot of knowledge about a huge wine repertoire and explains every dish to its finest detail without getting boring. All the dishes we had were...creative and had an outstanding taste to them. The wine is a little pricy but is worth the cost, the overall experience and quality of food are worth what you pay for it. We paid 120 € for 2 courses, 4 glasses of wine and two desserts. Would book a table again without thinking about it.More

Came here for dinner. Was hoping to sit outside but it was raining. We were sat indoors which felt a little bit too sparse sparse and we could hear all neighbouring conversations. However food was excellent and exceeded first impressions. Excellent flavours and pasta was...delicious. Only negative was their 2 wine suggestions but that could have been subjective.More
