We were really disappointed with this restaurant, there are many beautiful restaurants in Venice but this IS NOT one of them . We were served food that was really poor.I ordered some vegetable noodles ,the vegetables were nothing more than chopped onions ,nothing else ! the dish was an odd brown color and stuck together in one mass,as for the... Ate here just by chance. My Kung Pao Chicken was very good but not all of my family was as satisfied as I was. The service was great and we got our food pretty quickly but it did cost 91 euro for 5 of us.

We had lunch at Tian Jin today. It was our fourth time at this restaurant, over several years. We had fond memories of our previous meals here. We weren't disappointed today. The vegetables are beautifully fresh, the sauces are tasty but not overpowering, and the meals are served hot. We note the horrified comments about the 2 euro cover charge.... More

Went to Tian Jin with my family whilst in Venice after wanting a break from eating pizza and pasta. The location was easy to get to, but the serving portions were very very small, if we didn't order an extra fried rice then our 3 main dishes would not have fed a family of 4. While the host was very... More

We just visited this restaurant looking for chinese cuisine after the many days with pasta and spaghetti. We walked into this restaurant without checking trip advisor beforehand and were a bit off the alert of entering an empty place instead of a busy restaurant as we would have normally chosen a place to try. The experience was very disappointed. The... More

Visited this restaurant tonight as we were in the area and thought chinese be nice after eating Italian food past couple days. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The outside of restaurant smelt funny. Given a menu there English wasn't great (understandable) so that made ordering difficult. I ordered beef curry and rice and my wife ordered sweet and sour chicken. Arrived 15 mins... More

Last night we returned after 6 years with a degree of trepidation borne of the negative reviews on here. We needn't have worried. There is a definite trend in the reviews which are 3 stars or below. From their comments I deduce they're the sort of people who: 1. Think a 'Chinese takeaway' at home tastes anything like real Chinese... More

Food was very average, portions were tiny, prices were ridiculous (2 euro charge each customer, 3.80 for a coke, 2 for a tiny bowl of white rice). Do yourself a favor, go get a nice pizza for 10 bucks that will fill you up and won't leave you with a feeling of having been ripped off.

We fancied something different for lunch and decided to pop into this restaurant which is near the Rialto bridge. Seriously I would give it s miss. The food was absolutely tasteless and the portion sizes small. I had the won ton soup for starters and it was actually like water with some lettuce and the fillings in the won tons... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
