Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pity a nice place employs such rude employees. Whistling along to happy music on the sound system , while waiting for my coffee, caused little blonde barrista to freak out. "That's forbidden here!" she shrieked! It was 9 in the morning. The place was empty....She was NOT Venetian. I want to point that out so as to not give a bad name to all of the lovely Venetians who do their work with a smile 😀More

Beautiful cafe! Lovely atmosphere drinking tea/coffee amongst books! The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had herbal tea and carrot cake. The cake was moist but lacked a bit of flavour. A must visit place when in Venice.

We dropped in for a pit stop, mid-morning and enjoyed a cappuccino and 2 x lattes (with oat milk). The staff were friendly and all the tables were full - inside and outside. It was a very popular place for diners and book lovers alike....There were some lovely prints for sale too. We did plan to return for lunch but wandered too far away to return. There were a few vegan options on the menu.More

Sullaluna (literally On the Moon) is a gorgeous restaurant / bookshop in a fantastic neighborhood of Venezia (Cannaregio). The food is super tasty and prepared with great care and love (ingredients are organic too). The atmosphere is unique. Prices are reasonable, and half the menu...is vegetarian, half is vegan. Check out the puccia (panini) with artichokes, and the vegan jam crostata (pie) is otherworldly (like the rice and hazelnut cappuccino). Definitely recommended!!!!More

Understand the place might had unpleasant experience with tourist, but with a customer asking politely and happy to wait even with an on-site empty table. The lady asked me to wait which I did patiently till sat down after the empty table stayed empty for...another 15 mins. No menus no water. Not asking if I would like to order and served 2 table beside me sat down afterwards. Maybe they have good food. I never get to try, But would suggest to avoid if you are not local. Just add on the bad impression for Venezia after all.More

Ridiculous place. Sloppy, slow, off-hand service… bizarre selection of over-priced beers… “special” spritz that tasted like watered-down Prosecco… didn’t try the food so can’t comment. Great location but much better, less pretentious, places nearby.

What a wonderful spot. Coffee of course is great, and the place is full of charm. But the food! Wow! The lemon tart was delightful, and the "croutons" - what in the USA would be called bruschetta -- was astounding. Subtle and inventive cheese combinations...with olives, eggplant, etc. Brilliant! A foodie destination in Venice, for not much money!!!!!More

My favorite spot in Venice! An adorable bookstore serving their own organic Prosecco and organic food with delicious vegan options right on the canal! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I don’t know why it shows $$$$ it’s extremely inexpensive relative...to other spots in Venice. €5 for a glass of Prosecco and €4 for a small bite (toast with ricotta, almonds and honey), €12 for a large, delicious salad and bread! Plus their music selection is perfection!More

This has got to be the cutest cafe I have ever visited. It’s very cosy and welcoming from the outside with the fairy lights and books, inside the staff are welcoming and very patient while our Italian was not very good, but they did teach...us a few words which was great. The hot chocolate was very nice!More
