Excellent restaurant with very friendly service. The food was superb and the price moderate. They offer seating outside along the canal, inside or in the garden

We started our meal outside, which is really delightful. To be sitting by the canal is so special. Unfortunately it was a bit cold, so we went inside which is not so great. So My advice is to go when it is warm.

We visited Venice in June and were recommended Al Bacco. The food (Polenta and Lasagna) was excellent and we had very good service. A large family group was sitting next to us in the garden. Ambiance was great!

Finding it was pretty difficult. Hidden among other local's favourite restaurants with a lot of guys in front of the entrance. Inside tipical osteria. We choose to eat in the back garden. The dishes pretty small but tastefull. Enjoy !

Osteria Al Bacco is situated just over the bridge from the old Jewish Ghetto. The food and the service are both excellent. All food is homemade and fresh, I would definitely recommend the pasta vogole or the fillet steak. The house frizzante is excellent and...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)

transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying

for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
