Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely beautiful cafe and delicious food with stunning view. Excellent service which was next level. All the food prices are comparatively cheap to most places in Venice (Tourists Trap)

My partner and I absolutely love this little place. The owner is extremely kind and helpful and goes above and beyond for patrons. We have been several times now during our stay in Venice, and each time we have been very impressed. The coffee, food and wine recommendations are all excellent. Highly recommend stopping in here if you get the chance!

HORRIBLE. Rude staff. Do not recommend if you are a tourist. Locals welcomed only. Smirking bartender showing off to his local pals by being rude toward customers.

The gentleman working the bar really needs to get a new job so he doesn’t take his frustrations out on innocent customers trying to enjoy their holiday. He was so unnecessarily rude he actually almost ruined my trip.

Had breakfast here for a number of mornings, great cappuccino every time, and very nice pastries. She speaks English and is helpful. Great place for a coffee or snack with drinks!

We were two couples and had some drinks. When we ordered some canapés we were totally surprised by the variation and taste. Fancy combinations sometime but delicious and all for realistic money. The service was inconspicuous but quick and never pressing. The best place to switch off and enjoying vine and snakes

After spending 60€ on 4 beers @ St Marks, we found this small bar on the canal with great views. For 36€ we had 3 beers (@7€) and 2 orders of Caprese. Maximus was super friendly- limited food selection but down to earth and not snobby - close to Hilton Molina Stucky.

Just a typical small hole in the wall restaurant. We enjoyed our carbonara and lasagna. The gnocchi was meh. Great views when dining right on the canal.

During my holiday in Venice I’ve notice that many people take advantage of tourist . I came in the morning ordering only a caffè latte and asked if they had any croissants but the waiter said no so I didn’t ask for anything else. Came after a while as I was basically the only customer ordering and the staff was talking and shouting to other people probably friends. My latte arrived with some sort of typical sweet from Venice which I did not ask and not even tried one. My latte was very nice . Came inside to pay . What the staff didn’t know is that I’m actually Italian and I understood every single words they saying about me and I was not very happy. The latte was €3 and the guy made me pay €5.30 . For basically just a latte. Vi dovete solo vergognare. Never coming back .

Really good food at a reasonable price. We had our first meal in Venice here and were very happy. Everything we ate was wonderful. We stayed nearby but it is right at a boat stop.

We walked here from the Hilton. Twice. For lunch and dinner. Just to keep eating the wonderful cicchetti and to drink the inexpensive wine. What a wonderful local bar. Oh yeah, be prepared to test your Italian because very little English is spoken here!

Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
