Our Airbnb host Cristian recommended and booked this restaurant for us. Our table wasn't quite ready so Pino had a spritz ready for us while we waited. Fresh seafood pasta was just what I wanted. Great portion and loved the flavour, my husband enjoyed his ravioli and tiramisu . The wine selected was enjoyed. A local restaurant with interesting decor... More

The food was good, not superb. I had the impression that my glass of white wine had been "mixed" with water, so you'd rather order a full bottle to be on the safe side. Service very nice and prompt.

Traditional Italian restaurant - decor and service etc wouldn't last 5 minutes in the U.K. but entirely passable in mainland Italy we always find Waiter frankly grumpy or at least disinterested that said our food was great My wife said it was he best ravioli she's had (although a small portion as it was a prima plati and the waiter... The front desk at our hotel recommended this place and it really was good. All the food was delicious - seafood pasta with generous amounts of dish, fantastic lasagne and delicious black cuttlefish pasta. And the best tiramisu I've ever had. A good & reasonable wine list too. Venice is expensive - no doubt about it - but this place... More

This restaurant was five minutes' walk from nearby Hotel Bisanzo and this was our first evening in Venice having flown in earlier that day. We were keen to get stuck into Venetian food. There was no space left inside but we were happy to have a table outside, having not booked. My mixed seafood starter was a fresh, generous and... More

We visited this restaurant at the recommendation of our host. Greeted warmly by Pino the owner friendly and welcoming. We were not disappointed, the food and ambience were so good. Highly recommended and we will be returning for sure. The Venician sardines are especially good.

This restuarant is about 10 minutes walk from S. Marco, near the boatstop Arsenale, located in a small street , at the end on the right site. We were there for 3 nights and booked for all 3, which is absolutely necessary if you would like to have a place. Around 7:30,, it is sold out, especially on Friday and... More

We like the restaurant, but the food is heavily cleared to seafood. The restaurant is small and Tucktaway near the arsenal water bus station. The prices were a little high considering the size of the portions. The food options are geared toward locals. It is funny to see you on the walls so many corkscrews and bottle openers, some are... Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
