Great bar and chicetti place. Nice vibe and music to accompany drinks. Love sitting in the window and watching the world go by. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Great bar with great value Aperol Spritz, Wine and Prosecco. Visited 2 nights in a row and was always greeted by a friendly face and our effort of speaking Italian was reciprocated by their effort in English. Good value and tasty cicheti too.

We found this little place by chance and it became our favorite! We visited it 6 times in 10 days! Amazing variety of local wines, great quality of little snacks, quickest and most effective service we experienced in Venice! We were a party of 6-8 people and we never had to repeat our order! it is just amazing how these... More

This place is a real gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice. Great wines, chicetti and a fantastic location to sit and watch the world go by over one of vehicles bridges. Didn't want to leave!

The bar scene in Venice is excellent everywhere really, at least the 'few' we went to whilst there. If we were to single our favourite it would be this wonderful place without a doubt. Put it this way we called in here for a pre-dinner drink, planning to find a restaurant afterwards, but it was that enjoyable here we stayed... More

Perfect for a wine break or a light meal! Located a short walk away from the Ca' Rezzonico vaporetto stop, Osteria ai Pugni is a modern yet typical Venetian wine bar where you can cheaply buy a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a choice from its delectable "cichetti" selection! For a light meal, you can get a... More

We happened into this little spot the first day we arrived and consider ourselves lucky we did. Best place for a drink in Venice (hands down). Great atmosphere, beautiful people and a wonderful wine selection. If you travel to Venice Osteria Ai Pugni is a must!

My partner and I Went there by a recommendation. We ended up there 2 days in a row. The place was lovely, excellent atmosphere, great selection of wines and outstanding service (the blond lady who appears to own the place was very passionate about her stuff and was caring for her customers!) highly recommended.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
