Had heard good things about this lovely old Osteria and they were right. Huge platter of meats and cheese and a nice glass of wine while the rain fell outside and the kids played football. Genuinely good.

We stopped here because it was the only restaurant on the square where the waiter didn't accost us. Small, friendly place. Lots of locals eating there. The meat platter looked huge, but pots of olives were hiding underneath, so we just managed to eat it...More

Found this as one of the 10 best in Dosoduro in another app. They don't take reservations so we went early, around 8pm on a Friday. Tables inside and out and were seated immediately. Menu is in Italian and English. Platter selections of sliced meats...More

Recommended this eatery by the young lady that greeted us at our nearby apartment. Off the tourist map, the place was full with locals, uni students and several other apartment visitors like ourselves. Atmosphere was wonderful, building and decor is superb. Service was personal and...More

Lovely located this is a real italian restaurant in a city like Venice where there are too many turistic restaurants. We had as starter the salumi and cheese sharing platter, great selection. A bottle of chianti. Then we ordered 'cicchetti', a kind of italian tapas,...More

I went to this place to have dinner and I had the worst treatment ever. We sat for dinner and we were 6 persons. Not only the waiter made us change table because in his own words: "I want to sell more" leaving us in...More

Our airbnb host told us she eats here. We had dinner twice and really enjoyed ourselves. Like any restaurant that caters to mostly locals you have to "find your way"... The prices are low so we assumed we were getting small, plates, like a tapa place....More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob
