This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel where we stayed in Cannaregio and is off the beaten path located near Iglesia Gesuiti. We had alfresco dinner on a very pleasant Venice evening.I had the eggplant parmigiana which was very nice and my wife...More

Even if you're in the area and starving take the time to find somewhere else. Two reasons we went were it was our last night and had been recommended by hotel reception. We had eaten at what appeared to the best of those nearby on...More

The pasta, sea bass, and stripsnof steak dinners were excellent. The waiters and owner were very cordial. The waiter’s suggestions helped us decide what to order. The atmosphere was quiet enough for us to talk to our companions. We plan to go again.

The restaurant is nicely located. Service was slow. Menu nothing spectacular and prices relatively high for what they actually serve. The place is okay, but didn't give any reason to be excited, when we were visiting.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Off the tourist trail, a friendly restaurant where the locals eat good Venetian food, beautifully presented and at sensible prices.
