I gave this a 3/5 because I loved the location but wasn't too fond of the food and the value. It was located on the canal in the adorable town of Venice and had the coolest atmosphere. You could sit and watch people walking by on one side and then look to the other side and look down at the... More

We wanted to have our last meal by the canal and this restaurant seemed lovely with outside seating and reasonably priced food. The staff were very friendly, attentive and kept checking up incase we needed anything. We had mussels to start and then a mixed seafood risotto which was really amazing! Thanks for a lovely end to our trip in... More

Very friendly waiting staff that were happy to help. My meal was very nice and great value for money considering the location. Some may be put off by the windy location however it did not prevent me from enjoying the meal.

I have just read previous reviews, mainly from last year, and wonder if the restaurant has changed hands as we had a really good experience here 3 times! The location by the canal is great and we found the staff really polite and charming. The food was very good each time we went and all was freshly made as I... More

Charming waitress so we went in. She was the only nice thing about this place. It was too chilly to sit at the outside tables. We then endured the worst meal ever... defrosted little prawns on iceberg lettuce smothered in rose marie sauce from a jar followed by an escalope of some sort of meat with another ghastly sauce, meant... Not a very pleasant experience. First of all, we were told by the waiter that we HAVE TO order drinks to our meal. We weren't thirsty at all so this rule seemed very unreasonable, especially that it was not mentioned anywhere in the menu. The food was mediocre. At the end, we were also told that they only accept American... More

Waitstaff are not smile people! We ordered a mushroom risotto and it was terrible! Totally tasteless. I've been in Italy for 12 days and it was the first time We ate badly here! My husband ordered a beer and it was warm. Don't waste your time and money in this place!

Stopped by after a day of walking for lunch. Had the basics Pizza and Pasta. Both were good. Service was good and food came out fast and hot. No complaints we would eat there again.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
