While in Venice we had to try the pizza and found this gem a couple doors down from our hotel (Hotel Bucintoro) Started off with Italian beer. Ordered Bruschetta (loaded) with artichokes, mushrooms, ham?, cheese, tomatoes, and I'm sure in forgetting something! Pizza with spicy...More

With a little bit more effort this place could be fabulous (better printed menu and cleaner toilet). Food was tasty but on average. Well priced as for 2 mains with two large drinks we paid €36. I would recommend a quick stop.

This place is my favourite place to eat in Venice. They have the best bruschettas, the best pizza, everything is fresh and tasty, good vine and last but not the least, they are affordable, in a Venice where everyone tries to "still your wallet".

We have eaten here several times since it is very close to our hotel, however, in spite of that they do have very good food and their pizza is excellent. Their prices are a little bit lower than some of the other places when it...More

There's nothing nice than to stay in a posh hotel and then slum it in the evening eating somewhere cheap and cheerful. This place has the perfect view, the pizzas are good, and the boots full of beer, challenging but delicious. No hassle from the...More

We found this bar when we decided to take a walk along the front after a visit to St Marks square. Turn left out of St Marks and walk along the front towards the Museo Storico Navale (Naval museum) just after this you will find...More

The best little bar in Venice. Attentive service, great atmosphere and (unlike every other place in town) they won't rip you off with exorbitant prices, hidden cover charges or by pestering you to order something you don't want. Treat yourself: Sit in the sun and...More

We stopped here after having walked for ages around venice and the nearby area. There was a €10 deal on, pizza and a soft drink for €10 or pizza and an alcoholic drink for €14. We had two prosciutto pizzas and some cokes :) just...More

We stopped for coffee and strudel after hours of walking. The service was very good as was the coffee and strudel. Not much variety in cakes but it is a wine bar after all and we only stopped as the sign said free Wi-Fi.

Well located on the sea front, with a sunny terrace, here a the best two points of this place. Else the food is very ordinary for a tourist price. That means one choice among many other in the area.

Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side

I don't think it would be too cold as we went at the end of August and it was pretty warm. Most of the seating is outside. I am thinking March is the perfect time to go! We stayed at Hotel Bucintoro also, fabulous place! We... More
