Great snack bar. Lovely sandwiches, tapas like bits and booze. Great staff and off the beaten track.

We found this great place near the Rialto whilst sightseeing on a very hot day in Venice. Very welcome air conditioned bar. I had a toasted cheese and ham sandwich and my partner had a toasted baguette with prosciutto and rocket. Both were delicious. The passable wine was only 3 Euros a glass. In all with the four glasses of... More

Bacaro hopping on a Monday afternoon, we stopped here because I recognized the decor from the pictures on Tripadvisor. We got cicheti to go. The speck was very good. The fried meatballs were even better. Service was fast and friendly too.

We stumbled across this in a side street near the Rialto Bridge - it was a real gem. The food was great - simple sandwiches well made, the beer was so cold on such a hot day and the service was brilliant - really friendly staff. The prices for venice were also great! We will be back on our next... More

We visited this little bar based on the good reviews here. The cicchetti was great value, if a little disappointing. The flavours were good, but having been warmed up in a microwave after being kept in a cooler on the bar, they were still cold in the middle. However, the atmosphere was lovely and the food tasty enough!

Dropped in for a coffee to chill after a mornings walking through Venice. Helpful, friendly team who served us quickly and pleasantly. It was empty when we arrived. It was full when we left. Well worth a trip

We just wanted a tea with rum to warm us up after a long stroll through the cold and windy streets of Venice. No problem. We also ordered some finger food. Yummy! The atmosphere was great and the bartenders extra cool that we decided to visit this place on the next evening as well. Would do it again any day.... More

The staff here seems to apply love and affection to all they prepare, everything has to be perfect. We had a couple of beers, spritzers and a meat platter. Only downside is it seems to be one of the places tours descend upon so the bar can suddenly get very busy.

Doesn't look like much but it's a lovely little bar, good music, nice staff and the cicchetti was lovely and so reasonably priced, even spending only 10€ left myself and my boyfriend satisfied! The only thing that lets it down is the toilet but I would definitely visit again

Went twice, first for drinks and second time for some small bites of food. Really good food for a cheap price (2 skewers of meatballs, a miniature calzone and arrancini was only 10 euro). Prosecco was also only 3.50€ a glass.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
