This was the first time that we have eaten in a Kosher restaurant and we were not disappointed. It is always busy and full of 'locals', so if you want to give this restaurant a try, it is best to book a table, The food...More

As everyone knows, water is never far away from you anywhere in Venice and Gam Gam has canalside tables as well as a fair amount inside. It's only a few yards (metres even) from the water-bus stop which brings you to and from the airport,...More

My wife and I had lunch here today and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. I love Kosher food, especially Italian Kosher, and Gam Gam fit the bill quite nicely.

We decided to visit as we had heard that there were plenty of vegan options on the menu, and were not disappointed! On the waitress' recommendation I had the Massa'Bacha aubergine with chickpeas for starter, my partner had the mixed vegetable sampler and for main...More

We knew we could count on a selection of vegetarian and even vegan dishes as this is a kosher restaurant. There were quite a few, and the antipasti selection was tasty. I can't remember what our second course was and herein lies the problem. Our...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

They are very strict about holding reservations which is great so i wouldnt take a chance and just show up. I booked for shabbat with Chabbad - google Jewish Venice and you'll find all the info you need.
