Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Creative cooking based on traditional Venetian ingredients. We did not have the tasting menu but it looked wonderful with a wide assortment of starters. The risotto was our favorite—perfectly al dente with a very flavorful broth and artichoke chips. The handmade tortelli with shrimp was...also tasty as was the starter of several seafood dishes. Excellent wines by the glass. Attentive service.More

Excellent pasta. The tiramu was delicious. Cautionary note - we were charged for five main courses despite there being four of us. This was pointed out and swifly correctee. I would hope that this was a genuine mistake. I would recommend scrutinising the bill before...paying.More

Great restaurant off the beaten track. Food is really very good indeed and the service is also excellent. There were four of us and all of what we had was really good. The waiter chose our wine and selected an excellent red that was one...of the cheapest on the list - a nice touch. The rooms are really comfortable and nicely decorated. Prices are very reasonable given the quality. Best dinner we had on our trip.More

We had a delightful evening with good food and wine. The staff were attentive and helpful, especially when it came to choosing wine. We selected the tasting menu, which had a good selection of different seafood dishes. My favourite being the baby octopus. We let...the waiter choose our wine for us, as were have different taste and were not disappointed by his selection, even more so when the bill arrived. As they were very well priced for the quality. Overall, it was a night with good food and good service.More

Were very happy with our choice. Food, atmosphere, service very good, almost excellent. We tried the two set menues which gave us the opportunity to taste many of the plates of the a la carte menu. My favourites were the cod fish, the prawns in..."Saor" the ceviche amberjack, the tortelli cacio and pepper and the monkfish roll (excellent). The style is rather modern cusine but nothing extreme. The maitre has been very attentive, with humor and experience. He suggested a very nice wine, which we really enjoyed (Collio Bianco 2021). It's a rather expensive restaurant but offers good value. We had a grear dinnerMore

This was a fantastic meal at the Osteria Santa Marina. Food was exceptional, the aubergine starter was truly tasty and the turbot main course was just stunning. The sauces and purées on the fish dish were outstanding. Service was good, friendly and professional. Definitely our...best meal in Venice .More

Quite easily the best meal we had in Venice. Myself and my wife order the tasting menu and every part of it was lovely, and the wine, as recommended by the waiter, was also very good. I only wish I had gone back there another...night!More

We were lucky to get a reservation thanks to our hotel. Inviting upon entry. Tablecloth sophistication but not stuffy. Perfectly smooth service! Little extras such as an amuse bouche, special breads, and a dessert teaser. The prices are reasonable for this quality. This was amazing....I would come here regularly if I lived in the area.More

This restaurant was highly recommended so we were excited to try and it didn’t disappoint! Impeccable service and delicious food and a thoughtful wine list. Really was a 10/10. If I had one comment it would be that the plates could have been heated so...that the food didn’t cool so quickly. Really good.More

We were fortunate to get a reservation to dine outside on a lovely warm evening in October. I chose the Eggplant Parmesan starter, the Paccheri Pasta with Amatriciana Sauce, and the finish with the amazing Mille-feuille dessert. Each course was amazing, beautiful and delicious. The...brioche and bread on the table were wonderful. I did book my reservation 5 weeks out because this restaurant is popular. The staff could have been friendlier and kinder in explaining the menu, but overall my dining experience was fabulous.More

I booked this restaurant in May for a night in mid August. I immediately got back a confirmation email which I filed away for the evening itself. The day before the booking I received a reminder asking me to confirm the booking which I did....On the evening itself we arrived about 10 minutes before our booking time to find the restaurant closed. On the door was a note saying they were off on holiday and closed all week. As I expected the following day I received an email asking me to review the restaurant after the meal. I fully accept that both the email requesting confirmation as well as the review request were automated but surely the onus is on the restaurant to update their availability accordingly. I mailed the restaurant and got a fairly lame apology which blamed the system not themselves. Interesting point to note is that the confirmation states that non appearance could result in a €40 penalty. To me this is perfectly reasonable. However, on that basis surely they should be paying me for not honouring my booking. We will be returning to this wonderful magical city next year but it's safe to say we won't be attempting to return to this restaurant.More

Some of the tables were out in the piazza, and that is where we ate. Certainly child friendly there. Very welcoming. We didn't eat inside on either occasion, but the restaurants in Italy are predominantly child friendly
