The menu seems inspired from Japan. Two of us had raw sea-bass, sea-bream and prawns, the latter marinated in a kind of ginger compote, which was excellent. I had a side-dish of raw asparagus tips and a friend had Monk-fish in caramalized sesame seeds. We...More

The food was high quality throughout. The chef uses only local produce in season. All menu items are house made including the bread. The front of house staff were charming and helpful with the slightly different style of menu. The wine list was reasonably priced...More

It was a great experience. Not the cheapest, even by Venetian standards, but the food was fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent and the only question is: why haven't more people discovered how great this place is?

We have traveled to Venice four times, and have eaten at this restaurant during the last three visits. The proprietors offered very good food in a charming setting well off the beaten tourist path. On this last visit, I do feel that we were taken...More

Obviously inspired by Japanese design, the interior immediately lets us know this would be a very different kind of Italian restaurant, despite the fact the menu describes the kind of fare you see all over Venice. In fact, the cuisine is essentially an Italian take...More

We saw this small restaurant on our first day (Fri) and wanted to book for Saturday, but they were fully booked, so we went on Sunday evening and were not disappointed. The starter of a variety of fish and local shrimps was excellent, followed by...More

Description
In osterialafuratola the taste is considered like the harmonic center of a circle composed by sight, hearing, smelling and touch. All these elements gather in the perfect equilibrium. The pleasentness of the harmony of colours and shapes of the furniture and of the dishes are amazingly linked with the sounds of the restaurant. On one hand the tender music and the kind meeting of the cutlery that welcome the food, on the other the mellow intensity of the scents of the wines that jokingly, through the changing of temperature, evolves and encounter the maravellous contrast hot - cold of the dishes. Alberto Terrin, owner and chef of osterialafuratola, doesn't consider himself instincive, just creative. Alberto highlightning that his own dishes are creative, reminds that the instinct to make an equilibrated and pleasant dish, always comes from a perfect knowledge of the raw material, not only from a sort of natural instinct. Our sommelier Ilario Fogli is always ready to combine perfectly food and wine giving you the best mix for your dinner.
