We went into this restaurant during a rainstorm on a Saturday afternoon, not knowing that this was a very upscale gathering place for wealthy Venetians to go with their friends for lunch. We soaking wet, underdressed American tourists were out of place. Nevertheless, we scored...More

Our concierge recommended this charming little restaurant and we absolutely adored it! We sat at a little table outside in a busy and picturesque alleyway on a lovely warm night, and ordered the tasting menu with about five courses. Every single course was to die...More

Apart from the usual menues, Da Fiore have two set 5 course menues, one called «Terra» and another called «Mare». We wanted red wine for once, after all the sea food you get in Venice, so we chose the terra, that apart from interesting content...More

We ate at Trattoria Da Fiore on our first night in Venice. We did not have a reservation, and the restaurant was quite busy. Even though they were able to seat us, I'd suggest booking a table in advance. The fish was very fresh, and...More

Da fiore was right near our hotel and as such we ate there quite a bit. The chiccetti (venetian tapas) are excellent, and the staff is hard working. Food in the main restaurant is Venetian style to the Max; you are truly eating the fruit...More

What's not to like? The most amazing and fresh seafood served in a cozy spot. We stopped by early one day for a plate of seafood appetizers with a prosecco of course. It was so good that we joined them again for dinner where the...More

So far during my visit to Venice, it has been challenging to find a good meal at a reasonable price. My personal opinion is that tourists should avoid any spot with waiters in white jackets! Great spots for atmosphere, people-watching and music, but overpriced and...More

Description
You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.
