This is a small elegant restaurant serving refined versions of local Veronese cuisine. The sarde in soar with polenta was a tasty appetizer. The bigoli pasta and the pasta fasoi (pasta and beans, a/k/a pasta fagioli in the rest if Italy) were wonderful. Wide-ranging wine list as well, friendly service..

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, when in Verona just before Christmas. It was closed the first night we tried so we went in the following afternoon to book a table. I'm vegetarian and wanted bigoli but it was with duck sauces so asked if they'd do with a tomato sauce & was told certainly. We returned in... More

So good, I hardly know where to begin. Amarone is actually a "house" wine. Generous pours, wonderful staff, perfect setting and food beyond amazing. We started with the risotto amarone. So delicious, but awfully big. Unless you're really hungry, I'd advise splitting it between two adults. I ordered the braised beef cheeks amarone for my main dish. it came over... More

I have been traveling to Verona on business for roughly 20 years and when I first visited everyone told me that you have to go to Bottega Del Vino for superior food. On one occasion I could not get in so somebody suggested a little place around the corner, La Taverna di Via Stella. Half the price with as good... More

We had an evening meal on a Saturday in December; this taverna had been recommended to us by our hotel as we were looking for a traditional place to eat. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Very busy and popular - we loved it.

A colleague of mine, who is from this area, recommended this place to me. I arranged to have dinner here on my first evening in Verona ... and just loved the welcoming entrance, the displayed salumi and the cozy tables. I was dining alone, but sat next to an Italian couple, who conversed with me a bit. The wait staff... More

The barman in our hotel recommended this restaurant and we don't regret having followed his advice. I had a delicious risotto al barolo, my friend a pike salad who's taste reminded me a lot of my nonna's specialities. The restaurant has a lot of traditional dishes on the menu and the location is old and typical. Loved it!

Had prebooked this place by phone for our first night in Verona. It was a lovely experience from the minute we walked in. They needed a few minutes for our table to be ready so we had drinks which turned out to be on the house. Food is traditional Veronese, everyone was very friendly, atmosphere is buzzy and there are... More
