We spent New Years Eve at da Ugo which was recommended by out local host. The special 5 course diner either fish or meat was put together various local specialties. We totally enjoyed the beautiful diner and the setting, drinking a nice big magnum bottle of Ripasso so while listening to 80's music.

We had a beautiful evening eating at Ugo's. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. We'd definitively eat there again when we come back to Verona

A little bit hidden down a side street away from the tourist crowds. Nice food and pretty good prices, we paid €85 for starter, mains, desert and bottle of wine. We had meat and cheese plater to start which were good quality. I had Zucca Tortellini, my colleague liver and bacon. Both were good. Deserts were lesser quality but larger... More

I would agree that this place is a hidden gem. We ate on the patio outside. The food was incredible--I cannot say that enough. Staff is knowledgeable and put up with my Italian. We had a wonderful time here.

I celebrated my 60th here with my husband and 4 friends - after a lot of research. And what a find. The food was fantastic (we had the menus with wines to go with it), the service great and sitting outside in the courtyard was just beautiful. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back when next in... More

Just 25 metres off via capella its worth the trouble of getting there. We started with the salami and figs. It was fresh and good. May i suggest that it would be great with some balsamic. The steaks (sirloin and fillet) were really good and cooked to perfection. Service very good. 100% recommended.

Was hard to find, but worth searching for. I was looking forward to trying the cavallo and was glad I tried it here. It was a stew served with polenta...it was tender and tasty. Our server was very knowledgeable about wine and recommended a wonderful valpolicello ripasso. The dessert will not disappoint either!

My wife's familiy is from Verona and we decided to try Osteria Ugo for dinner. Three of us ordered meat dishes and were asked about which cooking level we would like. I asked for "rare" but was presented a piece of meat that was close to "well-done". This was highlighted to the staff (politely), which after some discussion agreed to... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and ended up visiting twice the food, wine and service were so good. Nettle tagliatelle divine and my partner had chicken and liver dishes which he enthused about too. Stuffed courgette flowers were a work of art and delicious as was an elegant fig tart. We were lucky to dine outside on... More
