It is listed at the best Italian gelato in Verona, but we beg to differ. The gelato was good but it wasn't as tasty and smooth as expected. It missed the wow factor.

Since I went in the summer, it was very hot, I really loved the chocolate ice cream with its excellent taste, I would definitely recommend you to try it. By the way, if I go in winter, I will eat it again:)
Perfect Italian Icecream. traditional and orginal flavours. The bergamotto with thym and rosemary is one of my favourites.
A little expensive for my standards, but the ice cream is so good that every euros spent there are well spent. Many choices and all of them are peculiar, I would suggest to pick a fruity taste like albicocca (apricot).
Ice cream is made with REAL fresh fruit and other REAL ingredients that come from local producer. No additional chemical ingredients and other artificial flavors. REAL passion, REAL fruits for a genuine and Italian ice cream.
Traveling in Italy, we learned to look for artiginale gelato, especially in covered bins (fewer additives). We loved the grapefruit-ginger, and the banana and orange were great, too. Buon appetito!
I never was a big fan of ice cream until I discovered gelato, now I’m a believer! There are some pretty spectacular gelaterias all throughout Italy and in Verona this one is my favorite. I haven’t found one better in Milan yet! My favorite flavors...tend to be dark chocolate variations and the test is whether or not the chocolate is creamy, rich and not too sweet. Here I’ve found excellent artisanal gelato no matter what flavor. I’ve been here several times and never been disappointed, so don’t let the wait discourage you. You’ll be happy you stuck it out.More
Great ice-cream, artisan production, very good taste.Small, busy place but worth the wait.Good selection of flavours too.
Its difficult to say whether this is one of the best Ice creams one has ever eaten (telling from the many awards in Zeno, there seem to be people that can do so) - but its definitely an experience to chose your ice-cream, the Maestro...selecting the right filling and eating order of the different flavours and then finally being able to eat your ice-cream. Best of it - despite the many awards the prices and the attitude of the staff are rather normal. Worth a visit - definitely when you are around S. ZenoMore
We chanced upon this place after visiting Chiesa di San Zeno. A local said to visit this best gelato place in town and so we did. People started lining up so we followed suit and soon enough there was a huge lineup behind us. Did...not disappoint at all! Truly authentic and worth the visit!More
Lot's of interesting mixes a little off the beaten path but the walk along the river alone is worth it.
We arrived at our hotel and fancied a walk and some ice cream. We found this place but after reading the reviews, we were not sure. There seems to be polarised views; best ever to tasteless. Anyway, we gave it a go. I have pink...grapefruit and ginger, my wife had pistachio and my daughter had white chocolate. All were lovely. My choice was probably my favourite ice cream I've ever had. No idea how some people can find it tasteless. Yum!More
We tried four different flavors and three of them tasted nearly the same - tasteless. Only dark chocolate had a little chocolate taste. If I would have eaten the ice blind I couldn't have said which flavor it should be! Very disappointing and the worst...ice cream I have eaten during my vacation in Italy. Also the staff was not so friendly, so we cannot recommend to eat ice at Zeno Gelato.More
Gelato was good, but nothing special. Had a large assortment of flavors. We thought they were stingy on the size of the scoops. I would try another gelato place in we ever go back to Verona. This is based on my experience of eating gelato...for the three weeks on this trip. We have eaten gelato all over Europe.More
We were visiting the basilica and noticed people waiting for the gelaterie to open. We couldn't resist trying a 6 scoop tray. The flavours were amazing. Try the grapefruit and ginger!! At 1, yes one euro per scoop we went back again for another six....This made the walk back into Verona worth it.More
