I made a reservation for Saturday night. I called back on a Tuesday and said I needed to change it to Friday and the hostess told me 8:00 pm. We arrived on Friday at 8:00 and there was no reservation. The hostess checked Saturday and there was no reservation their either. She asked me what number I called and I showed her the restaurants phone number in my call log from earlier in the week. Fortunately, they had one table left and they gave us the best table in the house next to the swinging kitchen door and the hostess stand that was constantly beeping. Outside of this mishap, the food was delicious. We started with the meat and cheese plate and also a truffle egg dish. Our mains were the veal rib and a ravioli dish that contained pork cheeks. All the food was delicious, the wine was great, and the service was good. I would definitely go back but will double confirm my reservation.

Great service, we asked for some local wine recommendations and our waiter chose perfectly. We were served still warm freshly baked bread with fig butter made by the chef. I could eat this butter all day long. It was amazing. Then set of few appetizers followed. I cannot recall what we ate exactly, but they were amazing and after tasting each one I was looking at my husband mind blown by the tastes ❤️. My main course, which was Sardinian slow cooked pork was amazing and I do not eat meat often, so it really was AMAZING. We loved the interior of the restaurant and the glass wall allowing us to peak into the kitchen. The overall vibe of the restaurant was great, we really liked the intimate dimmed lightings and shelves full of wines.

You don't just go to La Saletta restaurant to eat but to have a true experience of the flavours, scents and colors of Sardinia. We took the tasting menu proposed by the chef and we didn't regret it. Impeccable service, courteous without being intrusive and attentive and precise in offering the dishes. What can I say, you can eat very well in a refined location with attention to the smallest details. We also appreciated the presence of the chef directly at our table to finish an oyster-based dish. Price in line with the service and quality of the dishes offered. Highly recommended!

Just simply avoid this place!! We went to La Saletta to celebrate a family birthday, but left with a really bitter taste in our mouth. They started off right, the starters were OK, the tartar of sheep was good, the Carasau starter was tasteless but at least innovative. The pasta dishes were Ok , spaghetti a bit dense and heavy (but hey it had bluecheese, so was expected), the ravioli had no taste of chocolate as suggested on the menu. But then the real problems started. We waited 35 minutes for the main course (mattonelle di maiale) which was actually the best of all what we ate that night, but when mentioned about the delay to the staff they started to blame us why we didn’t tell them before…. Like hello, you work here?!! You should know and manage the workflow to make sure your guests get their food in a timely manner?!!! So, we paid 135 eur for 3 people (even the bill was wrong at first) , no one said sorry (nor waitingstaff, nor manager) only excuses (ahh we have a lot of groups, it was a mistake of the kitchen, etc). We just wanted to celebrate a birthday in one of the (supposedly) best restaurants in Alghero but we chose to go somewhere else for the cake. Food is ok, wine was good, the worst service ever experienced, all summed up, not worth the price and the fuss.

An absolutely amazing place! Great service! Even though there was a slight mixup with the reservation they arranged for a us to be able to have a dinner. Our starters were a little mixed up too but they took care of everything in the absolute best possible way and always made us feel welcome and taken care of. We had great wine recommended by the waiter (the sweetest most professional old man you can imagine). Oh, and the food was amazing too! 😋 One of the best restaurants in Alghero for sure! 🤩🥂👌

My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant. I'll start by saying that the place is very beautiful and welcoming, there are paintings by the artist Alessio Zucca on display which are also for sale, and then it is furnished with a mix of modern and vintage (recovered tables and chairs) which give a magical. For dinner we had two tasting menus, the Cortile and Radici. I am pregnant so I asked if we could change some raw dishes (sheep tartare and soft egg) and the chef very kindly adapted the dishes to my requests. What can I say, a real culinary journey, an explosion of flavors from the welcome appetizers to the dessert, served impeccably. Each dish is prepared by the chefs and at 0 km. The staff explained each dish and was extremely courteous. What can I say, 10 and praise. We will be back!

This is the second time we have come to eat at the La Saletta restaurant and it certainly won't be the last. The place is very welcoming, with beautiful details such as the chairs and the water glasses, all different and beautiful. At the entrance you are greeted in a very professional but at the same time friendly manner and you immediately feel at ease. We chose the "Radici" tasting menu, vegetarian, I with a glass of red (very good and plentiful) while my husband with the wine pairing, also of great quality. The dishes offered were all excellent, of the highest level, I would like to point out the egg cooked at low temperature, which was amazing, and the parmigiana "in their own way" completed at the table by the chef. Throughout the service we were followed and "pampered" by the staff who never lost sight of our table and presented the dishes impeccably. What else to say? Which was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try refined and at the same time very tasty cuisine, in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Anyone who enjoys fine dining should visit this place. When you walk in, you are immediately guided to the table and informed about the specific menus/a la carte. The head waiter is very hospitable and will gladly help you with more information about wine or choosing a dish. The prices are very good for this quality, we chose a la carte, and were certainly blown away by this. So certainly do not pay attention to the few negative reviews but certainly come and try it out for yourself! Compliments to the entire staff

The food, the atmosphere and the service were divine. We ate in a dozen restaurants during our trip to Sardinia and this one was the best by far. The interior made us feel like we’re in an Italian restaurant in the 50’s. We set inside and we had a view on the street and on the kitchen. It was interesting to see how they prepare the food, but more than that it was absolute pleasure tasting it. My boyfriend ordered Sardinian pork and I ordered a homemade pasta filling with fish, in a fish stew and with truffles. For dessert we ordered two different cakes (I don’t remember the names, but one was with almonds and the other one was with the lime and apple) and the both tasted great. Not heavy and too sweet, but light with the the right accent on the ingredients.

Great dinner in a restaurant definitely among the best in Alghero. The restaurant is located a little outside the historic center and the area is not the best but once you enter you really appreciate the beauty of the furnishings and the welcome and you immediately feel at ease. We chose one three of the menus available and mandatory for the whole table, Memory. Good initial amuse-bouche, a little less the one with pork liver, unless you are fond of it, while a mussel stuffed with mussel at the end remains a mussel, although the idea of shell-shaped crispbread is good. Spectacular bread and breadsticks, served an excellent award-winning organic oil and an excellent saffron butter: shame that if they take it away when the dish arrives, I would suggest to leave it at the table for the whole dinner. Very good sheep tartare, for me it was the first time. Also excellent is the fillet of mullet (mullet, where I come from) with its sauce but you can hardly understand the sense of broth with cheeks in a separate bowl, which is good but adds little and distracts from the deserving main course. Continue with spectacular malloreddus with sausage powder and cheese ice cream and then move on to fregola, very good but a little weaker and more delicate, I would have served it before pasta. The only sore note, the Sardinian piglet revisited: very well presented but with the veil of crispy rind perhaps too hard and the meat tasted a little too strong again, as if it also contained a little liver. Pre-dessert with lemon, delicate but a little evanescent, good instead the dessert with fake chocolate citrus. Excellent pairing of wines, I discovered a couple of excellent bottles that will soon enrich my cellar, but I would have preferred the glasses to be served with the plate, on a couple of occasions they arrived too early. Price of the menu honest and in line with the quality of the cuisine, in my opinion excessive that of the pairing. Prompt, kind and easy service, without unnecessary formalities. Finally, much appreciated the greeting of the chef, who came to serve us personally the fregola. Conclusion: with the filing of the few defects found, it is definitely a place of absolute quality that deserves new visits.

Fantastic dining experience unique in Alghero, very talented chef , smart delicious food keeping Sardinian traditions and flavors. I booked the surprise menu because I’m not a fussy eater so anything goes! It was the best idea as loved not knowing what was coming. The vegetarian option was also delicious, staff very attentive and kind, dinner was very well paced we didn’t feel rushed and or that it was too long. It rooms us 3 hours because we wanted to have a slow dinner. Didn’t feel hungry or overstuffed it as just perfect to have a belly full and warm heart without feeling like you won’t sleep. Everyone must experience this when in Alghero! Truly special and deserves to be number 1! Bravo 👏🏻

It's the third time we've been to this restaurant this summer and I don't usually write reviews. They manage to amaze us every time. You don't just go to dinner, you go on a gastronomic excursion. They have 4 tasting menus (obviously in addition to the menu) and allow diners (the only restaurant I know of) to choose different menus! We had dinner with my 12 year old daughter and they were very nice in finding a simple solution for the little girl to have dinner. Our greatest compliments certainly go to the chef, but let me praise the maitre who manages to describe the dishes with such mastery every time, making us dream and passionate even before tasting them. Do you want to pamper yourself? Go to them! Believe me!

The restaurant is very well looked after in every detail, I had excellent memories of being there years ago but this time I found a totally different cuisine, the quantity of dishes halved (nouvelle cuisine), nothing to say about the quality of course but... I wouldn't have expected such an upheaval at all. The menu choice is more reduced than in the past and the higher prices, I do not recommend it for families with children due to the complexity of the dishes and the sauces and quantities. I'm sorry but I won't be returning 🙄

We left Castelsardo (1 hour by car), specifically to have dinner at the "Saletta" and we were amply rewarded for the long journey. Quality raw materials presented with great elegance on the dishes, excellently displayed and narrated by the entire dining team. Balanced portions and honest prices. Congratulations to everyone from the kitchen to the dining room.

Very nice place, with attention to detail, from the bare table to the chairs that are different from each other. Welcoming and enveloping atmosphere. When the dishes arrived I began a journey through flavours, colors and with my imagination I experienced memories of the past. Whoever was telling the story did so with passion as if he had presented the dish for the first time and managed to make me dream. I can't tell you about the taste of the food. It's only for a few. I would recommend stopping by this magical place. Thank you all for the unique dive into this experience. These men love their work and pass it on to anyone who can read it from their words. Oh my compliments.
