We had to wait 1.5 hour to be served. The food was not even all right but terrible. I ordered mixed grilled meat: no seasoning and the meat was greasy everything had the same taste. I do not recommend to go here, don't waste your possibilities to discover other great places!

We found this place by coincidence, trying to eat somewhere at 3pm! On the way in, two Americans leaving the restaurant with their thumbs up quickly gave us the best recommendations. We were served with the best home made pasta that we have tried so far and came back two days after. Enjoy it!

Our B&B recommended this one and the food was cooked to perfection. We all ate the mixed antipasti and then the pasta alla Norma which was beautiful. The chef then came out to greet us which was nice. Highly recommended but make sure you have enough time service is quite slow.

I'm not sure if it's just all the American reviewers calibrated to much faster dining experiences than in Europe, but we did not find it exceptionally slow! We arrived at 8 pm, ordered three courses, and paid the bill by 10:30. Two and a half hours for a three course meal is not too bad--especially considering the power went out... More

Visited here at lunchtime as recommended by the lonely planet guide. As pre-warned by the guide, I was prepared for its late opening (20 mins). Service is extremely slow so factor that in when planning your day. It took 1.5hours to order and eat my pasta dish. Excellent selection of dishes but be aware that a lot of them are... More

Very nice home made food, very affordable prices and slow service... if you want to be served "rapidly" then you've got to be the first in the restaurant. But that is part of the spirit of this place, "slow down". It was so good that in a week spent in Catania, we went twice to this trattoria!

Spaghetti alla norma is very delicious. Price is good. Appitizer of local food is good. ( It includes vegetables, cheese, olives) I recommend it definitely.

We were warned that Rosanna cooks each dish to order - nothing prepared ahead. So, we were content to drink wine and enjoy the slowness. The Pasta alla Norma was the best we had in a month of eating in Sicily. Divine really. The eggplant cooked in thin slices right before serving so not greasy and perfectly sweet. Everything else... Good range of local food including fish. Many locals a good sign. House wine was excellent . Wish I had a bigger appetite as the food we ate tasted great, and the dishes on others plates looked tempting. Service good. Prices economical. Highly recommended.
