A sort of family run place, in a back street, which by day is nothing remarkable. At night, at the end away from Piazza has lots of bars which spill out on to the street making for an amazing atmosphere. In Macchernai, you'll enjoy traditional dishes well done, plus a friendly atmosphere.

Delicious amazing home-cooked food - wonderful local taste, cosy interior and welcoming staff/ owners. Great prices .Best Mussels in Palermo! (£6 for a big bowl of big mussels : so fresh! ) We accidentally stumbled upon it looking for local food off the tourist track, and returned again on our last day to have a lush breakfast-lunch-dinner, welcomed very warmly... Picked this trattoria for a first night meal as we wandered the streets of Palermo. The food was first rate and at a very good price - rolled sardines in breadcrumbs followed by swordfish ! The waiter service was very friendly and paid just the right amount of attention to the customers. Very highly recommended!

This ristorante, just inside the Vucciria arch adjacent to the Piazza San Domenico is a true gem. It was very warm inside the evening we dined here, the only criticism my wife and I had. The vino rosso della casa was served chilled in a hand-painted ceramic pitcher; we purchased one later in town because it was such a nice... More

Excellent food! Excellent value! Must visit this gem just off the beaten track of the hustle and bustle. Food was authentic, and tasty. Staff were super friendly and welcoming.

A nice small restaurant in the center of Palermo. We had 2 pasta della casa, water and house red wine. All was very good and we paid only 23€,

The staff were so pleasant. The food was excellent. Dessert was to die for. Very cheap especially for the amount of mmms we were doing while eating. The inside is a beautiful stone walled building with an authentic arch. Couldn't rate it higher.

The antipasti and primi were good. Unfortunately, the secondi was below average. The meat was overcooked. The staff is friendly and very nice ambiance.

Had fantastic spaghetti with sea urchin, a good steak and 2 risottos plus desert for under e60 for four. The place isnt flash but food perfectly cooked. No pressure to eat a full menu which was most appreciated.
