We ate here two weeks ago and both of us suffered stomach upsets for a couple of days afterwards. we both chose different menus. I agree the previous comments on 'What a rip-off'. The service is artificially noisy and exaggerated and you find out this is because they are adding an 'obligatory' 20% to the bill which you are suppopsed... More

Tables outside were full and so we were tempted in, what a huge mistake. The waiter who took our order was too busy shouting instructions to others to get our order right . White wine came when we'd ordered red. The bread was dry , the starter a disappointment and before we were half way through that our main courses... More

Had a great meal here on our first night in Ortygia, we had the carbonara and bolognese and it was delicious! Service was good, waiters were friendly and brought us limoncello after our meal. Nice friendly atmosphere, would definitely go back.

One of the worst places I've ever been to. They made us wait for at least 20 minutes before they would take our order. We ordered two Coca Colas and two spaghetti alla carbonara. The pastas were absolutely awful so needless to say, we didn't finish it. We decided to go somewhere else and asked for the bill. We thought... More

Bad service plus a 20% service charge Says they take credit card but then gave us a cock and bull story that they only take cash Slow indolent waiters Food was mediocre at best . I think it had been out through the deflavorizer first The kind of place that caters to tourists who they know won't come back so... More

Lousy service. Mediocre food wasn't enough to compensate for it. Too many other good places to chose from to make this a worthwhile stop.

Three of us ate one night on the street at Castello Fiorentino. The waiters were like a tag team match and by the end of the evening we were laughing so hard that the tears were streaming down our faces. You cannot predict an evening like this or replicate it. The waiter tried to get us to accept spaghetti vongole... More

I have travelled Sicily around and visited other popular tourist destination and this was the only restaurant I came across that charged Service Charge (20% of the total bill) on top of "Coperto" (Usually 1 eur extra as a compulsory "tips"). Just a way to make customers think the food is cheaper than it actually is. The Service Charge is... More

When we asked our first waiter if he spoke English he quickly said no and brought over a 2nd that said he did , but barely. He translated the only Italian menus and told me my risotto would not have fish in it. Even when I asked him and did hand signals to get him to understand the he Samone......was... More
